LOL. Right, I forgot to mention they fall through the world if not fixed with con tool. Since it's only patched to work I didn't much mess with coding or the models solidity.
Glad to hear it's working for ya though.
When placed upright on the ground (not fixing with the construction tool) the large rack dances a jig for about 10 - 15 seconds before tipping over and falling through the ground. The medium rack stayed firmly in place but if tipped over manually that too falls through the ground. The small one is fine no matter what I do with it. So it seems it does not matter which version of the game I run.
So far, if I fix them immediately to the ground then they all work as intended. I can also lay them flat in the Cargo Transport. So all is not lost and I will have to be careful in what I do with them.
Thanks for your time and effort sir. I appreciate it.
There's a chance it should work for the main branch.. if you wanna check it just enable only this as your addons and then try a new game (saves would need w/e addons were enabled or things would be invisible or crash) Unfortunately I don't have much time for steam anymore.
Is there any chance of having a version of this for the main branch? v1.0.0011:39544
I am using the table out of your excellent Extra Items [2.0] mod at present but I seem to have accrued an awful lot of barrels. LOL. The larger rack in this mod looks ideal. The small rack is fine but for some reason, the two larger racks fall through the ground. I've tried eliminating all other mods to no avail.
If you've finished moding I understand and forgive the intrusion.
Thanks for you contributions. Since the devs have given up on it, I can no longer play this game without some of your mods.
Thanks for the info.. there's a delicate balance I coded in so the tanks don't break right off after printing but stay attached so they are functional. I'll see if I can't improve this so they don't break when the forklift makes contact.
I only used the fork lift because I suspected this would get so heavy I couldn't lift it (kinda like the cage pallets do when they are stacked with "full resource barrels") .
Anyways... I couldn't repair the tanks that came off... seems they were off for good. So light weight also that if the camera shakes and you decide to "drop it" during the shake... the tank goes flying off to ... to... heck I think it made it to Phobos.
Anyways... these small tanks would have been cool to mount here and there (on walls with sockets maybe?)
Just beware of that pallet hitting something when being carried by a fork lift.
I haven't done anything to this but make it compatible with the latest game version. So the collision issue is probably still in there. If you want to use this go right ahead just credit myself for this version and Olrik since he originally made it.
You should be able to mount these to any surface but I don't think you could move a pallet if you mounted them to one. If you check out Extra Items 2.0, there are a couple 'storage pallets' that can hold liquid or barrels.
Thanks, Mono.
There's also two comments on the workshop page for Botanist. One written by <[GSC]>Terminator and a reply/post by myself. Both of which explain in-game items being invisible if the mod is enabled.
Personally I wouldn't use Botanist...
1. It was last updated on Feb 26th 2017, which means it's outdated as the vanilla side of the game has been updated since then.
2. The material file in Botanist needs fixed as it is overwriting existing vanilla materials. This is also why you are getting invisible things.
3. The Botanist mod should actually be an addon as it's adding new content to the game and not changing existing things. This is also causing issues within the game.
4. There are several spelling errors and typos throughout the code.
5. Run just Botanist in the TKOM_dev.exe (Developer Mode), then hit the '~' key and you'll see the errors while in-game. Just another reason why it needs fixed.
You don't need the fix Vas made and 'Resource Cables' by Marajin is outdated and no longer works properly with the game. This is why I updated his versions and re-released the 'Resource Cables' mod. Marajin was unable to continue support and updating of 'Resource Cables' so I took it over from him and made it work again. So if your using Marajin's version along with Vas' fix then this is your problem.
If you just use the updated version of 'Resource Cables' I made you will be able to use the storage racks along with it and Botanist with no problems.
I already re-wrote the material file contained in this addon to make it compatible with Resource Cables (The updated version I made), the storage racks and Botanist.
I do use the "Resource Cables" mod.
Would that do it?
Also, Vas had an addon that allowed this to work with the older version of the Resource Cables mod by Marajin (along with the Botanist mod).
If you could update that to work with your updates to Resource Cables (Test Branch) and this mod, I think we'd be good.
I've tested this on both the main and test branches of the game. I only had it enabled and no other mods or addons along with it.
You have another mod or addon overwriting an existing material file or a mod or addon with a material file that contains vanilla materials being overwritten.
You need to enable the 'Barrel Storage Racks' and disable all your other mods and addons. Then with this addon still enabled, enable your other mods or addons one by one until the racks are invisible. By doing this you will narrow down which mod or addon is causing the issue.
There is no limit to how many mods or addons you can subscribe to. There is however a limit on how many items will show up in the printer menu for printing.
The limits are 128 Filters (I believe this is the different categories) and 1024 Configs (The amount of config files that can be loaded). Anyone can chime in here and confirm this if they'd like but I'm pretty sure it's the categories and configs loaded.
Besides the in-game 'Addons' menu which shows you the mods and addons you are subscribe to, you can also open the launcher by going to the steam library page for TKOM and clicking the 'Play' button and then selecting the 'Open Launcher' option then click 'Play' below the launcher option. This will open the launcher and give you a list of all mods and addons you have subscribed to.
Just tested this on both branches of the game. Main and Test. No issues and no messages about requiring other items.
Try the following to use this:
1. Click 'Subscribe' above
2. Run game
3. Goto 'Addon' menu
4. Enable this addon by clicking the checkbox to the right
5. Exit 'Addon' Menu
6. Game will restart
7. Play SP or MP, Storage racks are found under 'Accessory-> Storage'.
If this addon had requirements they would be listed to the right on this page.
