Silence Vanilla Music

To the people saying you can still hear music (if you have just vanilla).
This mod doesn't truly mute the vanilla music, it just removes it from the cycle of music.

But if there is nothing on the music cycle, the game will try to play the vanilla music. Cause it's the highest number on music list [ Factor = 0 ] cause there are no other [ Factor = 1 ].

Think of the primogeniture succession for you to understand how choosing music works on the game (the game will give all your kingdom to your eldest son 'Factor = 1 or 2').

Once you add a DLC of music, you will no longer hear vanilla.

I check on your file and it's working as intended (if you play base vanilla / no dlc). Not the fault of the maker of this mod.

The problem are the DLC.

Had to go on each music file of each dlc and change the [ Factor = 0 ]
You will still hear the vanilla music once you enter the game with no music mods.

BUT! Once you add a single music mod, you will never hear vanilla music ever again on game.
(cause it will be using the ones that are active [ Factor = 1 ] )

[ Main menu music it's still the same, but who cares.
It's the game play I don't want to hear vanilla. ]

@PGMP. Sorry mate, I no longer have CKII installed on my computer, so I cannot check to see what the problem is. There must have been an update on the most recent patch that affects the vanilla music text file. Sorry again mate

There is no music mod other than this and still not working. Thank you anyway for the time and effort making mods :) ! Cheers.

Still not working, the mod shows in the list and i am activating it. Yet the vanilla music is playing. I am using another 2 viking music mods. The next thing i will try is disable those 2 mods and see if the no vanilla music works.

Its not working for me either, i will try to delete the mod and re subscribe it.

I had to take it down mate, as legally I couldn't keep it properly updated because I didn't own some of the the DLC assets it used. And to be fair, the same thing can be achieved by not activating the DLC on startup.
If you still have the mod files, feel free to upload and manage it as your own mod. Might need an update though.
Sorry for any inconvenience pal

Where the DLC version at?
lufcMOT  [author] 17 Apr, 2019 @ 7:11am
Then I really dont know. A corrupted download perhaps? Its hard to see what the problem is, because it functions correctly for me

No mods, and I have disabled my dlc songs
lufcMOT  [author] 17 Apr, 2019 @ 2:41am
Just tested and it still works. Sure you are not mistaking some of the DLC songs for Vanilla ones?
lufcMOT  [author] 17 Apr, 2019 @ 2:34am
Got any other mods running?
Truitosse 17 Apr, 2019 @ 1:54am
it doesn't work
lufcMOT  [author] 24 Mar, 2019 @ 5:34am
@don cedinero. Strange, I just subscribed and tested and it seems to run fine
Cedinero 14 Feb, 2019 @ 4:25am
Weird cause it doesn't really work anymore for me.

Is this ironman compatable?
lufcMOT  [author] 20 Mar, 2018 @ 4:21pm
@Ced. Good job, i'll add them in now
Cedinero 20 Mar, 2018 @ 3:55pm
Yes absolutely. I'll do those and send you the files so the mod is complete, how does that sound?
lufcMOT  [author] 20 Mar, 2018 @ 2:55pm
@Ced. You need to go into the dlc folder in the steam directory, find which dlc you want to change (the dlc you need are in zip folders dlc068, dlc064 and dlc061), then extract the folders. You should see a folder named "music", inside it will have all the song files and a text file. Open up the text file and change all the factors to 0. Thats when you put the edited text files into a mod folder, and once you launch the game with the mod selected, it will prevent any of the tracks from playing. Lol, I hope that made sense to you buddy
Cedinero 20 Mar, 2018 @ 2:25pm
Wow that's so great. Thanks, homie. How did you do it? I could help you remove the remaining ones.
lufcMOT  [author] 20 Mar, 2018 @ 12:27pm
Cedinero 20 Mar, 2018 @ 11:39am
Wow, for real? You the man. Thanks homie.
lufcMOT  [author] 20 Mar, 2018 @ 11:34am
@Ced. Ok, no worries. I will upload a file that silences Mod music within the next hour or so buddy
Cedinero 20 Mar, 2018 @ 11:26am
Yep, I got all of them. I kinda got tired of hearing all those DLCs music. Especially the Old Gods one.
lufcMOT  [author] 20 Mar, 2018 @ 11:06am
So do you basically want to silence all music except for Mod music? I would need to know which DLC you own, I assume all of them?
Cedinero 20 Mar, 2018 @ 11:03am
All of them.
lufcMOT  [author] 20 Mar, 2018 @ 11:02am
@Ced. Yeh its possible, which DLC is it that you want to silence?
Cedinero 20 Mar, 2018 @ 8:44am
I wanna disable the music but not the actual DLC. I don't know if it's possible tho.
lufcMOT  [author] 20 Mar, 2018 @ 8:22am
@Ced. If you dont want to listen to DLC music, just disable the DLC on startup. Or is it just certain tracks from the DLC you want to silence?
Cedinero 20 Mar, 2018 @ 4:51am
Any way to turn off DLC music?
An_Oxygen_Consumer 7 Mar, 2018 @ 6:51am
great job, i'll add a link to your mod in my music mod
lufcMOT  [author] 1 Mar, 2018 @ 1:00pm
You can only silence all music in game. This silences vanilla music, but still plays mod/DLC music. This is for people who are bored of or dont want to listen to the original music, but enjoy music from mods and the DLC.
ale.bianco 1 Mar, 2018 @ 10:13am
This mod is useless: you can silence music in audio settings
beppu 1 Mar, 2018 @ 8:08am
I think there's a button for this in the game.
