The most up-to-date version, and likely the most functional with 2.5, is here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1766141791

However, it no longer includes the civic, due to the changes to how planets and habitats work, and further changes in 2.4 and 2.5 will also have changed other things since 2.3, making that versions features likely flakey as well.
Mirahael 16 Feb, 2020 @ 6:03am
Huh.. well overall it still seems to work somewhat decently? I mean, I can't find anything or notice anything out of place other than those wierd glitch things in the megastructure build-list.
AlphaAsh  [author] 16 Feb, 2020 @ 6:02am
The weird glitch and random things is because the mod doesn't work with 2.5. It works with 2.0.x and 2.1 versions of the game.
AlphaAsh  [author] 16 Feb, 2020 @ 6:01am
It doesn't work with 2.5.1. The habitats have tiles, which 2.5 doesn't have anymore.
Mirahael 16 Feb, 2020 @ 6:00am
It works with 2.5.1 from what I can see, just a wierd glitch with megastructure menu of building and shows those random things...
AlphaAsh  [author] 16 Feb, 2020 @ 5:59am
Also in the blurb there's a section titled Compatibility. In that you'll see this: "Works with v2.0.x and v2.1 of the game."
AlphaAsh  [author] 16 Feb, 2020 @ 5:57am
Those numbers in the brackets after the name of the mod tell you which version this mod is compatible with.
Mirahael 16 Feb, 2020 @ 5:07am
@AlphaAsh

I'm on the latest version, 2.5.1
AlphaAsh  [author] 15 Feb, 2020 @ 4:26pm
What version of the game are you on?
Mirahael 15 Feb, 2020 @ 3:15pm
@AlphaAsh

So, with the Orbital Ambition Civic, is it supposed to cost nothing to build? My game seems to give the ability to build them without needing ANY resources, and it also seems to have several other 'megastructures' that are titled 'potential', '}', and other random things like that..
sargatanus 17 Apr, 2019 @ 11:33am
My bad. no idea how I missed the link for that.
AlphaAsh  [author] 17 Apr, 2019 @ 7:56am
If you thought it was essential you'd know it already has been updated.
sargatanus 17 Apr, 2019 @ 7:41am
This is a mod I consider essential. Can't wait to see an update!
Priam 9 Jan, 2019 @ 5:06pm
Oh we are getting an update for 2.2?! Hurray!
AlphaAsh  [author] 8 Dec, 2018 @ 2:07am
Cheers.
Dragon of Desire 7 Dec, 2018 @ 8:57pm
Thanks for all your work on this, AlphaAsh! Take your time with the 2.2 update, there's no rush at all. Anyone begging for the update before you're ready are just impatient children.
Axneth Ironswift 6 Dec, 2018 @ 7:47am
Fair enough, definitely will be excited to see how habitats work with the new system and definitely enjoyed this application of them for playing with rare amount of usable planets or for areas that otherwise were very difficult to hold onto.
AlphaAsh  [author] 6 Dec, 2018 @ 7:47am
The mod won't work for 2.2. Very few mods will.

You can't future-proof software in the way you describe. You might want to go back to whatever future you just came from where you can.
Axneth Ironswift 6 Dec, 2018 @ 7:38am
Will you need to update for the 2.2 LeGuin, or will it alter to mimic code inside the usual habitats and ringworlds?
AlphaAsh  [author] 7 Nov, 2018 @ 11:40pm
Redundancy happens when you have choice. Otherwise you're playing a clicker game, not a strategy game.
JenkoRun 4 Nov, 2018 @ 11:55am
There's a slight problem with having the Science Nexus unlock with Technological Ascendancy. Once you research the early tech like mining, the mining habitats become available to build from construction ships before acquiring Voidborne, making it kind of redundant.
AlphaAsh  [author] 13 Sep, 2018 @ 10:30am
Construction blocks other defaults to yes. You can't build more than 1 advanced habitat at a time.
夜剣Fercik 13 Sep, 2018 @ 10:18am
are there any limitations imposed on advanced habitats? because I cant seem to build more than 1
AlphaAsh  [author] 13 Sep, 2018 @ 8:30am
If you're talking about habitability, mod habitats have the same habitability as vanilla habitats (100), but some have a direct malus to pop happiness from a planet modifier. This has nothing to do with planet preference.
AlphaAsh  [author] 13 Sep, 2018 @ 8:26am
I'm not sure what you're getting at. If you mean core systems, then if a system has only a habitat (of any type) and is not in a sector, then that's still a core system. This is vanilla functionality. If you mean in regards to research and unity reductions from total number of inhabited planets, that's again, vanilla functionality and habitats (of any type, including vanilla habitats) count towards it.

Habitats from this mod don't change any of the vanilla functionality regarding core systems or total colonies.
K0rruptedYouth 13 Sep, 2018 @ 7:29am
The Solar Farming Hab counts towards my planet type. I thought Habitats didn't? Intentional, or do I have a conflict?
AlphaAsh  [author] 16 Aug, 2018 @ 1:55pm
It works fine with an ongoing game.
spidermounky92k 16 Aug, 2018 @ 12:57pm
is there a way to use the perks in an ongoing game?
Caveman 6 Aug, 2018 @ 8:52pm
No idea why, but whenever I subscribe to this mod, says out dated and the name is changed in my mod area to .The Utopian Dream (2.0). Don't know if it is downloading an older version of the mod or something.
Rastro 5 Aug, 2018 @ 8:00pm
Idea for the genesis initiator; versions that can be used on molten/toxic worlds with different input needs.
Just a thought
Rastro 29 Jul, 2018 @ 6:39pm
thank you
AlphaAsh  [author] 29 Jul, 2018 @ 11:54am
1 - Correct. 2 - Yes.
Rastro 28 Jul, 2018 @ 7:36pm
question on the Genesis Inititator; It does NOT work on molten worlds, correct?
also, can you have multiple in parallel?
AlphaAsh  [author] 28 Jul, 2018 @ 12:28pm
I don't know.
Tail_AbNormal 28 Jul, 2018 @ 10:53am
Does this mod work with Gigastructural Engineering?
Zorbatron 15 Jul, 2018 @ 12:17pm
very interesting man, that is good to know, thank you

Press the yes button. If the game doesn't launch, that's not because of an outdated mod.
Zorbatron 15 Jul, 2018 @ 12:13pm
Just letting you know that it still says it is only compatible with 2.0 and it doesn't launch
AlphaAsh  [author] 10 Jul, 2018 @ 3:38am
I am quite alive. You may not use my mod in a "big mod". You can, of course, add it to a Steam collection. Anyone can create a collection on Steam and add any mod to that collection.
Skygroot 10 Jul, 2018 @ 3:37am
Hello I'm trying to build a big mod that could use your own mod. If you are already alive Please contact me on discord at Skygroot#0384. I need some precision about your code.
AlphaAsh  [author] 8 Jul, 2018 @ 3:44am
No idea there. Mod clash, probably.
Demon of Razgriz 7 Jul, 2018 @ 1:08pm
I am trying to place a Solar Farm Hub, but I can't figure out where it is supposed to go. I tried click on stars but it wouldn't build them there, and I made sure there was no mining station currently on the star.
AlphaAsh  [author] 7 Jul, 2018 @ 12:22pm
Must be non-habitable planet that isn't a moon, and that doesn't have an orbital mining or research station or an unresearched anomaly. Usual issue is there is a station you need to remove first.
Dukkokun 7 Jul, 2018 @ 9:33am
Any idea why the Advanced Habitat isn't placeable anywhere?
AlphaAsh  [author] 5 Jul, 2018 @ 10:08am
Yes.
RandomGamerGuy 5 Jul, 2018 @ 9:28am
Is this a standalone version of the mod where I dont need alpha mod?
Sjru 🐲 4 Jul, 2018 @ 9:16pm
Can you update the file so it does not show it's not compatible for the latest version of the game?
AlphaAsh  [author] 27 Jun, 2018 @ 3:20am
First, it works fine with 2.1. Second, you have another mod over-riding common/ascension_perks/00_ascension_perks.txt.
