For some reason, I only get access to the New Arsenal buildings when I build the Veterans Hall, not when I build the War Hall. This is different for the AI for some reason, when I capture cities I often find the New Arsenal buildings in cities with War Halls, which isn't possible for me. Does anyone else have this issue?

Hi, just wondering (and Im asking you since the creator of empire building mod isnt active any longer). Is it possible to get this mod, Empire building mod (and its affiliates), Legendary units for empire building mod and Tier 5 to work together (I would love to get Oiylys elemental tier 4 into the mix also, but that is to much to ask :steamsad: )? Ive tried several ways but I really cant make it work.

I've heard recently that there might be an issue with the accessability of some units of the EBM. I'll do some tests during the next weeks...

Awesome thank you for the compatibility patch how have overlooked the New Arsenal mod and great work on the Empire Building Mod

i have noticed one slight problem that should require an easy fix...This only happens when selecting the Veteran's Hall, when i select the New Arsenal buildings the link to the tome always goes to the Abyssal Ridge and not to their respective pages in the tome. Does any body else get this?

Great to hear it works now. Crushes seem to be common issue for people that use several mods that add a lot of content. But I don't think there are any options to prevent this. At least the next game (AoW PF) will be able to include more content.

Determined the problem - conflict with littleShepherd's EBM conversion. Disabling that mod allowed the new buildings and units to show up. But the game still crashes when playing on the largest maps.

Not working for me. I have the EBM and all of the EBM-compatible mods installed, and neither the arsenals nor the new units appear. Also, the game crashes at around the 160-turn mark (playing on largest world map) and cannot be continued.

Thanks for the reply Der Mentat.

I make my living as a dev, so i know pretty well as some "simple" requests might take days or even weeks of work and generate some collateral that are worse than before the request itself, heh.
So, I'm playing a game with my gf right now (We usually play in teams of 2 against AI in the same numbers). We will take notes of our thougths about balance between T3, tree distribution and governance effects (which seem inexistant in the arsenal mod) and I will try to make some adjustments myself after i have some grasp of the inner changes of both mods (i have take a liking for mods and the mod tools themselves both on AoW and Civilization). I'll share it here when (and if) I have some degree of success.

The Veterans Hall and the New Arsenal building are much less balanced compared to each other though. If you'd choose the veterans hall you prevent at the same time that the city can ever produce racial T4 units.

Besides, this request sounds pretty easy to implement but would actually take some time (which I currently don't have) because I created hidden duplicates of several buildings to make it work in the current version and would of course need to change this completely.
When I have time for modding later in the year I'll consider it again but I can't promise anything.

Hi @Der Mentat. First of all thanks for the EBM and all the compatibility mods accompanying it.

Having recently start to play AoW3 again and subscribed to your mods, I'd like to make a suggestion on this one in particular: "Swap" the original T3 building with the new Arsenal one in the dependencies. I reason that being the original ones those who better represent each race (I'm purposedly taking a conservative stance here) and that with this mod you end up with 2 T3 buildings in each city (one that is unlocked by the war/veteran hall + the new arsenal ones), it seems to me that building would be more appropriate to appear in every city of that race.

Really strange, a while ago I didn't have any issues with elven and goblin units. Maybe this is related to updates of the Arsenal mod that some races don't work any more after a while (this happend already to humans and draconians as you can see in the older comments).

I can probably fix it within a week.

Hi, i cant really be without EPM and wanted to use New Arsenal, but for me at least the New Arsenal units for eleves and goblins does not work.

Well, the new units are there, ive gotten some of the New T3 units in my starting army and encountered them on the map, but the stuctures in the cities does not unlock them for building.

Also, and this might be completely unrelated, but after getting a new computer ive experienced some crashes when entering battle, but with New Arsenal and this mod it seems to happen more frequenlty. (Than God for SSD though)

Still, thanks for reporting! I fixed draconians now too but didn't check the other races. Just tell me when this issue occures for other races as well, its actually not too much work to edit them...

You should build the required buildings in order to build them. At the moment the units are not part of any defending structure.

Just uploaded a patch that links the Warlock manually to the Orc race. It's a bit strange because the issue seems to occur only in the Warhall but not in the Veterans hall path, and for the other races I didn't need to change the Warhall paths at all.

Draconians, Humans and Goblins tested, no issues. So it seems that Frostlings (expected) and Orcs (unexpected) are currently broken. Also, I found a weird orc Black Knight entry in the tome of wonders, it's tier 3, has no fire damage, and generally looks mostly like the warlock. Might be connected to the bug?

Did a new test with cheats, dwarves and high elves work fine, will test on the other races. Orcs are definitely broken.

So if the frostlings don't work in EBM i take it it won't work with any saved game that has any frostling cities on the map?

Just tested it again and I can confirm that the ToW does not show the link to the new units. But regardless, the new units get still unlocked for me when I actually build these structures. So it seems to be only an issue with the Tome of Wonders.

As described above the mod doesn’t work for Frostlings currently. But it should work for every other race (and in my tests it did). Can anybody confirm this issue?

@Mr_Enigma: Thank you! Fortunately the mod editor provides a lot of options to add new stuff even if the base game never uses it (such as racial hero upgrades).

ok my eglish sucks ok moveing on I dont care. that has nothing to do with this game. I my point is I play vs 1 of u 2 in this game. like for exp in the work shot this guy is makeing a knight wich is tire 4. wich is gold and if I battle 1 of u guys with this cheating mod he made. how can balanced unites of tire 3 or 4. even have a chance vs his knights wich never get tired?. when all 1 of u guys have to do is make 1 or 2 hole armys of them and run down all my kindoms. and beat me. how is fair. that I am working with a diffrent class other then thecrat. wich only has game balanced unites. if u look at the other 1 he made the engener. wich can have regroth and resegence. and over 130 hp and its only a tire 3. how are any of this game work shop mods fair or balanced. cant u 2 see my point. some what.

Ok, so I'm really not much of a grammar nut. But I am in awe of vampire's post. Totally agree with Jumach's response as to content, but how the heck did you manage to cram that many errors, of so many different kinds, into a single post? If someone created something like that as a satirical commentary on functional illiteracy, I'd dismiss it as an exaggeration! What's more amazing is that I can actually follow it. Still, had to take a screenshot. That post is a work of art; it must be shared.

@vampire3229 That was an excellent and utterly pointless rant. Your advice of, "If you don't like it, don't play it," is a 2 way street. Simply put, if you don't like the mod, don't install it. Why are you even posting in the workshop if you feel this way?

Unfortunately this mod does not work at all, the new buildings are not unlocking the new units. The new units are in the game though, they have an entry in the tome of wonders, but they cannot be built.

look man good for u that u like to mess around unbalnceing games. but man dont add new ice unites or what ever your up to. the game is a good game. I can understand changeing the looks of some unites or something that donse not unbalnce it. it you send your work into the game develper and he adds the new unite then cool I will buy the dcl. but untell then no more of this. the other guy moded a engener at tire 3 wich is a hell of a lot stronger then most tire 4s in the game and geiveing a max hp of 130. when some tire 3s and 4s hardly break over 100 hp. just ruins the game and cheepens it. if your not happy with the game then and some of the ice based unites. well then dont play the frostlings. or just reck your self untell 1 day your good to play the race dont cheat bye make diffrent unites. I would love to add a troll with 500 hp. and 1 defence because it would be cool. but am I. no becuse no mater what U would not be able to balance it out

Your mods are amazing! Modder’s such as yourself have preserved AoW3 for me. I came late to the AoW world and your efforts have extended the games value and joy. I use your EMB mods more then any others. I wanted to thank you for all the excellent work and deep thought you put into your Mods. You have my appreciation.
