Yeah, it's set up by default to target enemies (combines, zombies) and ignore friendly NPCs (citizens, alyx, etc.), plus you can make it attack either players, NPCs, or physics objects.

well i like using it on vehicles, welding these things to cars and tanks and letting them mow down zombies from afar
and i dont experience much of a drop at all even with 6 of these

The performance drop is a lot worse than you'd think, plus it's not fun to be shot by turrets you can't even see. I guess I'd update it for newer hardware if I could, but I don't think that's happening.

and for us with better computers it should be possible to tick a checkbox allowing more distance, it drops my 150fps by like... 2 when 4 of these are firing

In multiplayer, you can change the limit with "sbox_maxautoturrets" console command. There should be no limits in singleplayer.

Ok huge problem with this addon. The distance is messed up. it needs to be able to shoot far away, and even at 25 the accuracy is so damn good You can't stand in front of it for a second.

I'm having the same problem as @homelessturret, I can't spawn more than 2 in a multiplayer game. I tried the exact command you gave, as well as all of the other commands that came with the addon and any other possible commands I thought might work. Can it even be changed?

Could you possibly recode this to make more customizable turrets? Perhaps a recoded addon that allows you to fully customize the damage, range, etc.? I've found that the time to kill on these turrets can be lacking and I'd like to be able to change the values freely.

The tool settings should work. The max range is relatively small because it eats up CPU power like no tomorrow.
