Just reporting that the CTD wasn't caused by this mod. It still works fine, or at least in v3.9.3 it does. 3.9.2 had all sorts of issues.

I kept using this mod right up until v3.8, but it causes a crash-to-desktop upon game launch in 3.9. Sad. I found it really useful to be able to see which systems count as Nebulae.

I fixed the bug just now.
If information on situation log in saved game is not updated automatically, please push "research" button in "close this" and wait a month in the game time.

Same result if I start a new game. I get the 1-3 options, but not 9 for Nebula.

It actually works now, with the 2.2.3 opt-in patch, but only partially. The functionality that I'm most keen on, being able to find/see those systems that count as inside a Nebula, does not work.

I did test it, last month and found it not to work, but I'll test it again tomorrow, in a few hours, using the 2.2.3 opt-in beta, and report back to you.

Oh, really? In my testing, this mod worked good for Stellaris 2.2.1 if neither of Real Space 3.0 or More Star Classes was enabled. In other hand, this mod worked incompletely with RSS 3.2 because I have not updated my mods for latest version of RSS.
Although I'll update for latest version of RSS 3.2, I'm sorry but I can't begin working for updating until around 10/Jan. So, this mod will be updated probably the end of January.

I just tested this mod in 2.2, and it does nothing. Please update it! I really like some of the functionality it adds; it helps me plan where to build my major Starbases.

I will try it again and check the log. Since I got rid of all the mod giving errors, as soon as the game crashed, I didn't kept a log copy.

GCM has so many sub-mod and I have not checked all of them.
At least, this mod is compatible with "!CGM: Planets Enhanced Beta", "Core Game Mechanics: Debris" and "!Core Game Mechanics: Buildings".

This mod dose not seem to get error by compatibility trouble but only un-work.
What type of error happened?
For example, the game crashed, this mod was not displayed in situation log, invalid item was displayed in situation log.

This mod and Planetary Diversity work independently each other.
No compatibility patch or something is required.

Because, this mod searches the classes of stellar systems.
And, Planetary Diversity adds new type of planets, but not stellar system.

About your questions:
I will not (can not) make YML file as only one file.
new version of this mod uses same word so many times.
For example, "Main Sequence Star" are used about 240 times in the language file.

Fortunately, the grammar is very simple and unimportant because of the text format of this mod.
For avoidance translating the same words over and over,
each words and short texts are written in StarClassCounter1_l_<language>.yml,
and they are quoted and conbined in StarClassCounter2_l_<language>.yml.

By the way, "FTL" was not translated. Is it OK ?
(FTL: Faster-than-light, means hyperlane and jump drive in this game.
Attention: "FTL" is used in title of situation log. So, too long word is not recommended to be used.)

1: Hazard Stars Finder is not so heavy. So I will not change to bi-yearly or five year. But I will use probably them for strategic resource counter/finder.
2: I will fix this sentence.
3: It is good idea, but it is difficult to update new required technology with backward compatibility. So, I cannot it for this mod.

I just need a counter to know how many of each a galaxy has, in order to create some stats to try to fix the volatility.

some feedback :

1: I think you should change your pulse into "on_bi_yearly_pulse ; on_five_year_pulse" to reduce the charge, since you won't look at it each month.

2: In informations, "doesn't work as observer" instead of "incompatible" would be more appropriate

3: It could be a nice rare physics utility tech with a buidling "deep space scanner" to deserve that functionality

Um..., I think that it can be made partially.

- It is not so hard to make a indiscriminate tracker, that tracks/counts all strategic resources including undiscovered one.
--- It is difficult or might be impossible to make a tracker that track only discovered resource.
- The tracker search all planet regularly. So, it probably uses much of important strategic resource: CPU load.

I have no time to make this mod in this month because I am making another one.
I will try to make it if it is OK to start in next month,

Hello! I understand actual meaning. It is not impossible but difficult because of so many star classes. For example, Real Space mod has about 50 new star classes include 24 hazard ones.
