my Alpha 9 variant of this base wouldn't let me update it, so I've uploaded a new version for Alpha 12

Thank you. Love this especially for the fact that it has nearly no interior and it was up to me to build as I need. Perfect for this case!

jrandall, I've taken a crack at bringing this one into alpha 9 as well. If you like what I've done, feel free to link to it as a modded version.

jrandall, sorry if I sounded like I was claiming it was my base in the previous comment. I meant to say my moddified version of YOUR base. Also I decided I want to do an even more extensive rework of your base and re-post it seperately from my LGL if that's ok. Among other things, the new moddified base would have all concrete blocks replaced with combat steel, partly to make retexturing much easier, and add additional A9 features. I hope that'd be ok. Thanks.

jrandall, I just updated my moddified base for Alpha 9. If you could change the name for the link to Sanctum Installation LGL-Alpha 9 Update, that'd be great. @ everyone else, please check out my updated base and any feedback will be aprecated greatly!

This one is future proofed for A9. Just need to swap out some boxes, and make some simple changes. Base design is below CPU count.
Malufeuermut 25 Oct, 2018 @ 6:55am
Not really, you can lower blueprints and spawn it at exact th right height für the foundations and doors etc.
But struts down to earth are usefull for larger buildings and are really convenient, if you need them.
jrandall  [author] 11 Sep, 2018 @ 7:35am
Thanks Space Dandy. This base is a bit challenging to place due to it's size. What I do is try to find a flat place somewhere, place it, but then run around with a drill and raise the nearby terrain around the base, trying to make sure every place is touching. You are safe from collapse until you change or alter anything on the base. As in adding more blocks on the bottom, that just raises the base and makes it even more work to place it and raise the terrain to it. Thanks again.
Sol 2 Sep, 2018 @ 12:54pm
Should probably add a large piece of foundation that juts off the bottom about 4-5 blocks down on the middle and four corners of this building, apparently if it's not on perfectly flat ground and you put a turret on one of the emplacement spots half the building will collapse.

This is what happens when the middle isn't supported on a barely noticeable dip in the terrain.

@thedukeofice,Thanks :) Yes, I have no problem with that. All I ask is keep the name similar. If you want I can add a link to this post as a modded version like seen in the description above as well. Let me know. Thanks again!

Your creations are quite impressive!
My 1st ever vehicle was your Scarab HST
I've also been using your Merc-MX3-R
I then built your Sanctum Installation as my 1st ever Moon Base (mid-game progression).

I am requesitng your permission to re-post my edits to your Sanctum Installation. I added 15 Solar panels, created solar capacitor storage banks in the "extra rooms", lots of LCD screens updated around all the storage and farm deck, and added a capatins quarters, and washroom area in the empty wings off the farm deck.

Really impressive - very inspiring work sir - thank you for your contributions to the community!

I was talking more multiplayer and PVP. The base has a very large blind spot under the towers enough so that on flat ground up to 200m might be uncovered on the hanger sides. It would not be hard for a well armored HV to slip under the turrets and just pound away at the base. The best solution is likely to flaten out the front and outer sides at the top of the towers.
jrandall  [author] 13 Aug, 2018 @ 8:51am
@Ronin94, Well, reading some more you are saying they have no ground coverage. They should, but not really close to the base. The guns should aim down to the ground unless it is too close in which I think the sentry gun add ins would work well for that.
jrandall  [author] 13 Aug, 2018 @ 8:48am
@Ronin94, It has standard defense mainly for drone attacks as most bases have a similar set up. If you are getting harassed by ground troops what I would do is add sentry guns on the walls, maybe 2 per side. They are easy to fit and only one flat side of a block to mount. But, I would think that things would get shot down before getting in range to drop off ground units. Thanks
jrandall  [author] 13 Aug, 2018 @ 8:44am
@Uncle Crow, I understand it can be rough to place do to it's size. I am finding the in game terrain flattening doesn't work so well. As in the structure, it is solid enough not to collapse but full blocks are not stronger that half blocks for support. Well, at least I don't think so. I will have to run a test. Also adding more blocks on the bottom will just make it more challenging to not have it collapse until the ground is raised to support the structure. So, IDK, Not sure what i can do, but I have used it myself and was careful but had no problems.
Joseph Sneed 12 Aug, 2018 @ 12:23pm
I like this base and am currently making use of it but it has one MAJOR issue. The possitions for the turrets when placed have NO GROUND COVRAGE. The best solution is to make slots on the side and front of the towers for ground facing turrets.

I really want to like this base. And I spawned it several times in diverse gameplays. But experience brought me two main problems with this base. One is easily (yet a bit of a pain) to solve, the other one is a perk that is probably hard to get rid. First off, the roof may be a bit brittle and fragile. I think it should be made of full blocks, maybe with better support. The second problem is that the base is so big that it is hard to spawn it without burying it a bit on the ground. Maybe if the base had one or two layers of blocks under it, it would be easier to make up for the terrain irregularities without burying the base. These are my two cents.

@danthegamer88. Great job, and combat armor!!! Sweet. I added a link to it above. Thanks!

@danthegamer88 ,No problem. If you want I can post a link from this post to it as well as a modded version. Thanks :)
danthegamer8 30 Jun, 2018 @ 12:13pm
@jrandall, do you mind if I post a modification of this base I made? I'll include credit to you and a link to your original. I added pretty much everything 8.1 can offer and converted it into an -everything included- lv 25 base :)
jrandall  [author] 29 Jun, 2018 @ 6:24am
@Timmy the Tooth, hmm, I don't believe it entered the game. This was not a prefab in the game and not modeled after any existing design I saw before. Also, this is a hangar base with a large farm and crafting area. Not sure how that would work for a trading post.
Timmy the Tooth 28 Jun, 2018 @ 9:15pm
Pretty sure this design is a trading hub on world 2 of my campaign.

Thanks SkeL!

@Skitzo Sam, Someday I will. I normally haven't built to high end of based mainly because for the cost I would rather have a CV so I can move it around. But, I have thought about building something highend made with combat armor etc. And thank you!
Skitzo Sam 23 Jun, 2018 @ 7:12am
So me and a friend have subscribed to pretty much all of your designs we love them. One thing id like to ask is if you can build some high end stuff like a combat steel base/cv/hv/sv. Thanks
SKEL 22 Jun, 2018 @ 6:19pm
@SmashingPotatoes Everytime you spawn a Base check the structural integrity, you can do that by pressing N and checking the respective box at the Debug tab.
SKEL 22 Jun, 2018 @ 6:16pm
@Chthon666 after I spawned the base all the tanks were empty and the oxygen was turned off... fill the tanks with at least 30% oxygen (I think) and turn on the oxygen, dont forget to keep a oxygen supply at hand.
SKEL 22 Jun, 2018 @ 6:14pm
I have a suggestion for your bases/stations: add a offline mode.
In my bases I always have a "Offline mode" signal, which is connected to every crafting machine (ex. Constructors, Furnaces and Food Constructors) anything that uses power but are not vital for the survival of the base or it crew.
I just added this system in that base and the consumption lowered from 2.2MW to ~686KW. Increasing the power lifespan from 20Hrs to 64Hrs (with fuel tanks full).
Another system i like to implement in my bases are motion sensors, which control the lights. The lights will only be turned on when someone get inside a room for example. Generally the exterior lights I leave it on. With that motion sensor system I believe i could lower even more the consumption.
Sekkquitor 7 May, 2018 @ 6:29am
I believe it might have been o2. TY
jrandall  [author] 7 May, 2018 @ 5:59am
@Chthon666, I have no idea. The base is sealed unless it was damaged in your game. Did you run out of power or o2, even for a few seconds is enough to kill all the plants.
Sekkquitor 6 May, 2018 @ 6:58pm
If this is such a great build, then why, after all the work to get the sprouts of various kinds, some hard to come by, did they die after planting??
Sir Smashing 30 Apr, 2018 @ 2:38pm
After reading your comment I discovered that the area under the hanger bay was uncovered so after filling in the missing ground I was able to place turrets. Thanks a lot.
jrandall  [author] 27 Apr, 2018 @ 5:48am
@SmashingPotatos. I haven't had the problem myself or heard of this before. I do however raise the ground (If not placed on a large flat area) so it overlaps all of the lower blocks. Being made of mostly concrete to save building costs, if something is not supported well, I could see what you are described happening. It needs to be supported better and make sure the ground is raised around it and and thru out the bottom before placing anything on the base. Thanks for the comment.
Sir Smashing 27 Apr, 2018 @ 12:23am
After Placing the base in survival making sure it was conected to the ground in everywhere, trying to place a cannon turret on the marked spots the base crumbles and falls apart. Annoying as this base is very cool and i have outgrown the Sanctuary ST and want this as my base.

Ps. I tried on 2 different spots on Akua and Same issue.
jrandall  [author] 23 Apr, 2018 @ 5:32am
Thanks Priuloch. Yes it is air tight. In the specs above I called it Compartmentalized o2, meaning every different room has it's own o2 and is sealed. Thanks again.
jrandall  [author] 23 Apr, 2018 @ 5:30am
Thanks Taranis01 :)
Priuloch 23 Apr, 2018 @ 4:27am
Is this airtight? Looking for a quick-place no oxygen planet base
FIRE&ASHES 18 Apr, 2018 @ 12:25am
very nice, build, and let the player diside how to "fill" the rooms is a nice bonus
the 108 farmplots is a nice bonus for fast leveling , its very nice done
i will see how muth it take's in materials to armor the building :))
Samuel 15 Apr, 2018 @ 10:52am
@jrandall Oh, I got your point ^^

Even so, this makes a smooth upgrade when you start with the ST version. =)
jrandall  [author] 15 Apr, 2018 @ 10:01am
@Samuel, one other thing. I know the ST had construtors included where this one didn't. The reason was by the time a person builds this base being more expensive with a longer build time, I would pretty much expect them to be able to build Advanced constructors instead but did want to include them because of the rarer resources needed and it would jump the level requirements a lot. Thanks again.
jrandall  [author] 15 Apr, 2018 @ 9:58am
Thanks martkno!
jrandall  [author] 15 Apr, 2018 @ 9:57am
Thanks Samuel! That was the intent. Cheap and expandable, but much larger and able to handle more SV's and have HV support. Thanks again!
Samuel 15 Apr, 2018 @ 7:25am
I like how the Sanctuary-ST comes with everything and this one comes empty =)
I used the ST as my first base, and most of the equipment there or is still in use or was fed to the blueprint - it's TRULY an upgrade.

(Although not every component was accepted for the blueprint, like cargo boxes or O2 tanks. Bug, I guess '-')

And, speaking of upgrading, the general layout is similar to the ST. It's a bigger and more featured base, but I don't feel lost at all. Same top with a landing pad an turret standings, but bigger. The constructors area is similar too (and now closer to the containers).

I had some extra buildings that I had to dismantle to rebuild connected to the new base - an anti-drone tower with some extra turrets and a HV "garage". But, when I realized, the new base have more turret spots and the hangar, so these two buildings became obsolete.

This base is just the ST on steroids.
And this is not a bad thing.
