my base is in that green biome and I have unlocked everything but the Better Future blocks, could u also explain why this heli drifts off to the right when I try to fly

Just clarifying some constraints for the turret: What blocks have you unlocked? How big do you want it? What is your base terrain like? Finally feel like getting back into TerraTech.

Idea, try to assemble a powerful and effective base defense turret, my base just got attacked by a tech with 6 megaton cannons on the front.

If you were able to select helicopter in the edit menu, escape from that menu and hit "c" until the small box at the bottom of your screen changes from "car" to "helicopter". this should change it. If not....i'm not sure.....

Since it's an old tech, its default controls are set to car. To change it, right click on the tech and move it bottom right corner, then select edit, then change the controls to helicopter. Hope this helps!

Seems to work alright. I feel it could use a bit more lift to help get it off the ground easier. Other then that it seems to stay level and can turn, which is good!

-Load it in creative, take a snapshot, and then load it in the campaign

If you build a standard helicopter, it will use the same flight controls as a plane.
I took advantage glitch that keeps the hover controls while flying.
-Place an upside-down wheel facing a downwards hover plate. That should fix it!
