Ok
Yeah I'd heard that, Barbie was a really good movie.
And really? What a jerk? That's all you have to say? Why even bother commenting?
Both of you should really stick to Garry's Mod, and Team Fortress. This isn't your element.
GCFScape doesn't rip shit. It extracts files which are held in the .vpk essentially acting like winzip, or 7zip. You probably don't even know what I'm talking about though do you? Amateur.
As to the 3D and 2D components, yeah, no shit. People have been modding that since HL2 first dropped, and I turned No Mercy into goddamn Neptune. Know your place, you tiny little peasant.
Remember when I said I didn't care if you use this mod? I care now.
I want to ask you to not use any of my mods. Your idiocy seems like some terrible plague that might infect other users.
Not all l4d2 maps have 3D skybox components, and many that do have them use terrible lighting, like the dark carnival ferris wheel. I converted the 3D citadel into a 2D skybox, so it would look the same in all campaigns.
There aren't many modders who don't know what gcfscape is, why on earth would you think I didn't? I've got 400 mods.
What programs were you talking about? And don't say GCFScape.

For example, if I wanted to create a skybox for l4d2, which made it look like you were in No Mercy, I would have to take screenshots IN No Mercy, rather than just using the skybox materials

If I just used the materials, the city buildings, and hospital itself would be missing, understand?
(Side note, l4d2 skyboxes are rendered using 6 separate files, rather than the stitched together cubemaps)
Regardless, the problem remains, the citadel isn't present in any night-time areas, for that matter, I don't believe any of the buildings of city 17 are, so the lighting had to be flubbed.
Instead of asking why the lighting was weird, they instead suggested that I should just make it again, differently. That's why they got my rabid dog treatment, and you, who are asking questions, have received a sane response.
If me roasting some clown makes you want to not use my mod, that's fine too. I don't make mods for clout, I make them for fun.
basically learned some things might be better off recreated from scratch
like the City 17 campaign and maybe some of the Ravenholm variants
as i remember there was one campaign that unexpected broke some L4D stuff
think it was that one called Lamba, unfortunately changed cross hairs and gas cans
perhaps too much content was included with it and it conflicted with L4D
