Vcom AI driving seems to spawn in significant amounts of can openers/wrenches/random objects to help guidance of vehicles and causes server FPS death, would the mission be able to run without the use of this mod?

It's not clear which version of KPLib this mission is using, but if you follow the steps on the wiki for the original mission you will either have to edit the file and rebuild the mission, or you can change it through the mission parameters:
