It's bugged. Currently on my old save newly build large solar panels didn't produce power, also panel built before applied the mod produces 5 power even at night and when power off.

@Kage-Yami on a new or old save? Because on every of my saves it's still bugged, maybe it only properly work on new saves?

Ok, so gone over 100 sols now, and the previous issues appear to no longer be there. I did find that during dusk, the panels also dropped in power generation, but that's probably reasonable.

It might be good now... I had a quick try of the large ones in a new game, and they seemed to be generating the correct amount of power, and was changing based on mountain shadow - let a few days progress and no issues. The mod update yesterday may have fixed it.

Did they fix the issues others were having yet? If not, can one disable this mod and continue their savegame?

just don't build them in the shade

This mod is buggy. New builded solar panels never produce energy. After some time solar panels flip to "not within controller comander range", even if there directly next to a working drone hub. Please fix that... for now on the solar panels have no usage in my savegame. The solar panels placed before enableing the mod are working as usal.

I'm also getting strange stuff with this -- At times solar panels will randomly flip to "not within controller range" and stop working completely, even if directly next to a working controller or control vehicle. Forces almost 100% wind.

I seem to be suffering from the same bug that Xcell is having but switching the mod off is not solving the issue.

"not worse - more realistic" But its a game on mars and they already suck in the first place

There should be a bug, if I load a save at night, the solar panels don't turn on during day, if I click on it it turns on but never produces power. Same if I load a day save, it's on and produces, but at night it's still on and produces full power.

Or maybe it does only work on new games ?

Means you'll need to carefully plan where to place them, I like this.

So does this mod make em worse?
