@Fell - Never played it, This gate actually takes its inspiration from the Eve Online Caldari faction gates with some X series Gate influences...
As far as only making it part way, I wouldnt know as the jump effect is based on the ships jump drive...

What happens if you detonate/collapse the warp fields as you ship is midway through? Halo 3?

There isnt really anything to work... Its just a station. The Jump effect I did was just timing the jump drive to jump me at a certain point...

@Spectre, all I was saying is that most of the ships I've seen on the workshop that are maybe 50-100% bigger than red (smaller than the diameter of the gate, by a lot.), even the guy who made it says that it would need a fairly beast machine to run it at anything like normal simspeed and that for him it was a struggle. That's all.

CUUUUTE! Fits pretty much all of my UNSC craft smaller than a super-capital ship (one of my smaller cruisers, the Halcyon, is not much bigger than a Red.

This size is perfect for the average ship, yes I could have built it smaller but that was not my intent. If you dont like it, then shut up and go use one of the hundreds of jump gates that are far smaller! In regards to PC performance, Get a better PC! I have no issues loading half a dozen of these Gates and I by no means have a beast machine.

@Spectre, I know how the gates work, not an idiot, but you could've had a whole formation of red ships fly through that gate, how big are their ships? SSD's or something so stupid large that would lag out any computer that ever tried to load it

The super gate really isnt that big and according to several people I talk to, is smaller than most of there ships... The benifit with the super gate though is it actually transports you to another gate where ever you place them...

also kinda reminds me of the gates in the X3 series of games, if you used sektans docking lights mod it would very closely resemble it.

Spectre, this is a cool design, but a jump gate big enough for the super gate? too large, the gate needs to be shrunk down to be bigger than the average ship.

I am actually working on a larger v1 gate that uses the Stargate mod.

If you could get a version of a stargate into play, this could actually be functional. (That isn't critisism, just a suggestion)

Looks nice would make a decent accelerator for ships after all top speed is slightly over 100 for travel in between solar systems it would work to cut the distance down perhaps you should think of adding that into it.
