I really like this civ, however in my opinion the combat bonus does not compensate for the science nerf. If I were to make a suggestion Id say turn the combat bonus up to 30 percent or even 40, I found myself getting my ass kicked on more than one occasion becuase I still had musket men while the enemy had infintry

No. That would mean it effectively increases the cost of tech by 200%. Because they need to produce three times as much science to stay at a normal science output.

That 66% science penalty is killer. Kind of forces you to go to war very early. Was still a fun game.

Ah ok - makes sense. I actually haven't found any glitches at all playing as krogan in BNW. Must just be luck. :) Anyways, thanks for the quick reply!

@Deathwraith - It's the best unhappiness modifier coding will allow, but it's designed in a way that you'll still have problems with happiness, just no where near as much as you would have without that modifier.

Basically, it "normalises" their unhappiness, despite their massive, massive growth.

Also I must say I'm surprised you managed to play this version on BNW without glitches. Congrats on that I guess.

Hi, I just won my first game with the Krogon civ today and after winning (military) I decided to continue the game on and just test it out a bit as I felt the happiness was still quite low considering I had gained a 58% less unhappiness by the end of the game. I found that the -2% unhappiness didn't apply to unhappiness caused by cities which explained why I was having more trouble with happiness than I expected (mainly mid-game). I was playing BNW at the time and I realise this mod isn't designed for BNW but would you know if this is a glitch or intentional? :3 - (I'll test it out in gods and kings as well mainly for my own curiosity as you probably already know :D)

UPDATE V.11 - Patriarch has defected from the Krogan to join Aria. Garm replaces him as a spy.

The Krogan really need a Warrior UU, beacuse in all the games I've played with him...he's only a threat for the initial 50 turns where he can warrior swarm you...which is easy to hold off...and after that he's quiet for the rest of the game. The deficiency in tech really puts a stop to them after the classical era. By the time they tech to the Warlord the game is already over.

@Hornet - The latest patch messed up a few things. I removed the BNW versions temporarily because there was so much introduced in them.

They really should have some sort of Happiness bonus now, IMO. The sources of Happiness have been reduced in Brave New World, with the Honor tree (a priority fo this civ) no longer providing extra happines with the Barracks line of buildings, for instance. Without that, their population growth bonus will be for naught, as they'll rapidly outgrow their Happiness and you'll have an unhappy empire, that will grow slower, produce slower, and have weaker combat units. Their reduction of Unhappiness from their UBs also seems too small now, so either make their reduction larger or make them provide a Happiness bonus instead.

I love all these mods, but I think you need to make the Krogan research nerf smaller, like 1/2 or 2/3 research. 1/3 is just too little

The Krogan are some how founding cities 3 tiles away from other cities, the other ones you have released don't seem to be able to do this.

@Fresh - Pretty sure Krogan aren't getting anymore buffs, and hopefully no more adjustments. With 10 cities you have -20% unhappiness, with 20 you have -40%, so you can counter their unhappiness if you expand. They also get massively increased production already.
