And it wasn't just London which was being bombed by the Germans (for longer than just 1940-41 by the way, they continued with rockets till the end of the war causing many further casualties), they bombed the completely undefended cities of Warsaw, Rotterdam and Belgrade to ashes, with hundreds of thousands of civilian casualties as result, so don't pretend it was something anly the Allies did. In contrast, for most of the war German cities were heavily defended; there is a reason Bomber Command suffered the highest rate of casualties among the British armed forces!
