I guess the workaround would be to add a crop that gives seeds then?
I haven't touched this in a while and never really finished all my terraforming ideas.
But there might (as always) be some compatability issues.
Maybe a better question ... which type of mods are compatible with this (or not)?

*Water not always revealed in starting sector, recommend more probes to find water

If the prefabs dont show up in the Landers/Elevator disable all Realistic Mars mod options, hit apply, enable them again and hit apply.
I am working on finding a better solution
New Savegames now allow to take the Realistic Mars Prefabs to Asteroids and Underground.
*Solar Panels and Batteries work on Asteroids now
*Water Extractor, Fungal Farm and Batteries work underground
All this requires a new savegame
Issues:
Changed Buildings can not be put into elevator or Landers as Prefabs
Need to check with extractors and fix it.
And yes both elevators and landers have the problems with prefabs right now.

Also found a bug.
Can confirm that Solar Panels are not available on asteroids.
Also, can't transport or build water extractors underground. On the elevator the prefab does not show and the option to build does not appear even after researching deep water extraction.

*Compact Passenger Module, Advanced Rocketry, Cryo Sleep and China Sponsor now increase Passenger Load as intended
*Passenger Load does not reset to default on research of said techs
*Improved Photovoltaics added to Solar Rebalance,slightly higher cost than vanilla and also making the Panels accumulate dust 50% faster
*Solar Arrays now exclusive to SpaceY again
*Water Rebalance now has the correct Prefabs (no more Vaporators at Game Start)
Known Issues:
*Water not always revealed in starting sector (so pack some probes)
*Solar Panels and Batteries not buildable on Asteroids, recommend disabling these options on Asteroids for the time being
*Solar Panels and Battery prefabs cannot be loaded on Asteroid landers (only vanilla prefabs can be loaded)
Solar Arrays are exclusive to SpaceY again

We are working on it
Compact Passenger Module and Cryosleep should now work as intended.
Somehow this bug has been in this Mod since 2018 unnoticed.
When you research cryosleep it works for a while, however the Mod overrides it again after reload, leaving you with the set number per rocket again.
