Would be great if someone patched this little gem <3

So, I figured that my first challenge is to create an entire economic infrastructure, from top to bottom, out of whole cloth. No gradual evolution from previous economic systems is possible, because there is no previous economic system. Each interdependent piece must be materialized simultaneously and in perfect working order; otherwise the system will crash out before it ever gets off the ground.
Sadly, my financial advisor was assassinated, at Mod load time.

I hate when people abandon mod development without giving anyone a heads up that they've quit modding.
Vas 23 Aug, 2020 @ 11:54pm
Damn, seems abandoned. No activity for 2 years and disabled in game. :/
DracoDruid 6 Jun, 2019 @ 3:12am
No longer working with the current version?
Thalassicus 27 Mar, 2019 @ 8:36am
It's a minor quibble, but if you're going to quote him, use the proper attribution of CEO Mwabudike Morgan!
DartMada 26 Mar, 2019 @ 3:19pm

Would it be possible to add a tuning option to allow night shift workers to always get a +1 wage level?
The Mind Castle 6 Sep, 2018 @ 8:46am
OMG good old Morgan! I love you so mucyh just for that quote :D Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri had a HUGE part in my growth as a person. Funny to say that about a videogame, but it's true.

Zairya 18 Jul, 2018 @ 11:39pm
Hi Thorik,

would it be possible to bundle your mods into a collection? It's a nice thing for subscripers to find mods from the same author :)
ZeryOs 14 Jul, 2018 @ 7:48pm
I need to give it a go. Might be the most ambitious and greatest potential of the mods I'd be using. Thanks @Thorik
BLÀde 28 Jun, 2018 @ 9:07am
@ Adil3tr seems to work unlike the migration mod
Adil3tr 15 Jun, 2018 @ 5:46pm
Does it work with the current build?
Adil3tr 15 Jun, 2018 @ 5:46pm
This is pretty impresive.
BLÀde 13 Jun, 2018 @ 9:34am
this needs more description or a manual it's confusing to use
Nemesis0831 14 Apr, 2018 @ 10:02am
I havent identified if this is consistent or not yet, but has anyone else had issues with martian born not using nurseries now? I got a notification of "first martian born" but my nursery is empty. I have it set to the lowest rent level.
Bored Peon 9 Apr, 2018 @ 12:00pm
I am definitely going to have to try this out.
Dennis 9 Apr, 2018 @ 2:04am
Does this mod still work with the current version of the game?
Metal Lord 5 Apr, 2018 @ 10:53am
The Centauri Monopoly. lol
Thorik  [author] 4 Apr, 2018 @ 11:35am
Yup.
DmitriTheDemon 3 Apr, 2018 @ 9:17pm
How does this work if you get the forever young breakthrough where seniors work? Do they earn wages again and work normally?
sango213 3 Apr, 2018 @ 5:44am
@rightfn That's not communism, that's simply a barter system. Now the base game, yes, it's a pure communism, except without the constant starvation while leaders feast, the murder, and the discontentment for working without any compensation. (That last part might be OK for the first colonists, who literally have to work to survive.)
rightfn 2 Apr, 2018 @ 2:05pm
OK got it, so money is not a resource for the player to handle. This sounds like a great idea, it's too bad that stuff like this is left to the player community. I hope that the devs incorporate this or something like it into the game, as the ultimate acknowledgement that it was lacking such a system to begin with.

Side note: Who knows, maybe there really is no money, and the rules are set up like: 'if you work a class 3 job you may take a class 3 or lower residence', space communism is still possible... :)

Why not make a MOD that can sell more goods to the earth?
Thorik  [author] 2 Apr, 2018 @ 3:13am
It's abstracted. Your colony is separated from Earth monetary system and colonists can only buy what is produced locally (or what has been brought, but they can't order supplies themselves), so your funding $ doesn't really mean anything to them. It's all about creating local system.
If you pay everyone highest wage, nothing really changes - everyone is still equal. Only after you start to create differences, the system will work - better paid workers will have acces to "more expensive" services and behave better in work.
rightfn 2 Apr, 2018 @ 12:51am
I read the description, so sorry if I missed it: Where does the money come from? I was wondering if this was abstracted or if it actually comes from someplace, e.g. mission funds.

In other words, is money 'unlimited' to the player or can you run out of it by setting all your jobs to pay the highest wages, etc? Not a suggestion/request, just trying to understand the mod :)
anokius 1 Apr, 2018 @ 1:20am
Now I only need a german version of your mods. Maybe I can help you to translate?
anokius 1 Apr, 2018 @ 1:05am
Oh my fault, sorry... it works when I clicking at the button before the actually button and not the same button with the green hook :-) THANKS !
Thorik  [author] 31 Mar, 2018 @ 2:15am
You are clicking the first button if you want to reduce Level to 1, yes?
Thorik  [author] 31 Mar, 2018 @ 2:02am
Should be totally possible. Could you please send me a savegame and a logfile as described in "How to report bugs" discussion? Thanks
anokius 30 Mar, 2018 @ 11:28pm
Hey Thorik, thank you for this great mod.

I can increase the prices, wages...
But I can`t DECREASE if I have make a mistake. Not possible?
Thorik  [author] 30 Mar, 2018 @ 2:18am
Added a screen, fellow Morganite. ;)
Lobot 29 Mar, 2018 @ 6:04pm
Y u no attribute quote properly to CEO Nwabudike Morgan?
Grodgen 28 Mar, 2018 @ 6:55pm
I'm up rating this simply for the Alpha Centauri quote. God I miss the 90s sometimes.
Thorik  [author] 28 Mar, 2018 @ 3:56pm
Update: workers now get modifiers to comfort derived from comparison between their wage and the Dome average
GunPingu 28 Mar, 2018 @ 11:14am
some people say its strange theres no currency on mars, but i say: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U06jlgpMtQs
OverkillEngine 28 Mar, 2018 @ 5:20am
Ah, good point lol.
Thorik  [author] 28 Mar, 2018 @ 4:30am
Just use the mod - set rent level > 1 and seniors won't be able to pay that.
OverkillEngine 28 Mar, 2018 @ 4:29am
Any chance you might be interested in making a residence level filter that works like the dome filters? For example, I have a dome filtered to allow only seniors and middle aged folks (to work the few jobs that are in dome), but I would like to be able to filter specific residences to allow only one or the other to guarantee there will be a minimum potential number of workers available in-dome to run things.

Without that the old farts can eventually take up all the living space unless I sit there and micro who gets a residence spot. Bleh.
porpsi 27 Mar, 2018 @ 5:12pm
I got the latest version but i'm sorry to say it's still bugging out.. will post in bug thread
Thorik  [author] 27 Mar, 2018 @ 4:48pm
