stinky bottom text under this text
i mean that can change at any moment but its been a few years since the last edit
The M16 is already released, be sure to check the whole collection before commenting. Stop blabbering that the M16 is not yet released. YOU HAVE EYES. USE IT
14. Drag and drop your new folder containing the addon's assets into the vpk executable. This will generate a file in which the game can read and recognize as an addon. It will be placed on your desktop.
15. Now go back to your addons folder, NOT your workshop folder and drop the new vpk file into the addons folder! Then unsubscribe from the addon in steam to prevent any conflictions between the two!
16. Profit.
Now are you fucking assholes happy? Why don't you goddamn search for it on google or someshit your self?! Dickheads.
9. Create a new folder on your desktop labelled whatever it is your addon is called on its workshop page in steam.
10. Right click on the 'root' file in GCFScape and select extract. Then move over to the new file you created and place everything there.
11. Now navigate over to the new file with everything in it and delete the sound folder within the root folder. Now move everything else over to where the root file is and then delete the root folder.
12. In steam, hover over the library button and select tools. Download 'Left 4 Dead 2 Authoring Tools' and wait.
6. Since the addon thumbnails in this collection are all the same, you will need to look at every addon file you have in there that has the pile of guns as a thumbnail. Every workshop submission includes an image in the form of a .JPG file! And the number of that file (name) is the exact same as the addon's name that you are looking for.
7. Once you find the addon, go to GCFScape and click on the options button, then go over to associations and allow it to give access to .VPK files. All of the black square icons with the steam logo on it will now become three purple bars. That is normal and will not affect them negatively in any way.
1. Download GCFScape here. [nemesis.thewavelength.net]
2. Go into your Left 4 Dead 2 directory. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons\workshop or C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons\workshop depending where you installed steam and all of your games.
3. Subscribe to any of the addons in the collection. (Or any addon that has sounds that you would like to remove.)
4. In order for the files from the addon to appear in the workshop folder, you must start the game once and wait for it to download the addon.
It's probably nicer if you kept the original sounds and let the users have the freedom to change it or stay with the originals.
My suggestion, do an alternative version with original sounds.
Other than that, good job mate.
It's an AKM. And it's been made long ago. It looks nice, that I swear.
However, this project is literally dead. There's definitely no chance that this will ever be completed. : (
Although other versions here are revised and might be best used.
@Un'kn0wn 200 people ain't much taking as much time might just be the cause of your downfall as well.
200 Favs arent that much ppl for me btw
