Look up how to make a mod for hoi4, then just take the files from this mod. I'm not sure but I think the way uploading works changed with the new launcher. If you're willing to go through the effort of updating the mod then go right a head. I don't know what does and doesn't work on this mod anymore so you might have to edit some of the files.

Whenever HOI4 updates next this mod will still work, and it should continue to work unless Paradox makes significant changes to the political system.

@Strelok ☭ I think R56 and its associated mods change file paths for certain values so that its more likely to overwrite other mods, but everything this mod does can be done through the decisions menu, so I may look into that.

@nextjohns I suppose I could do that with the custom GUIs added in 1.5.2. Its different enough though that I'll probably make it into a seperate mod.

@Vult I could add decisions to change certain things like that in game.

could it be made so that democratic countries have the same joining tension as vanilla? Because it can be a little annoying that belgium, netherlands, poland, luxemburg and demark to join allies (before danzig or war) during a germany game.

It works fine for me. If anyone else is having problems then please say so. Have you tried clearing the game's cache on the startup menu and verifying the files? Those are the only two things I can think of. Also, can you justify war goal or can you just not declare war.

It does tell you what the ideologies do, just put your mouse over the ideology marker thing
(Eagle for fascist, Torch for Democracy, Scale for Non-aligned, and the star for communist)
