Hi, is it possible for west coast railways liveried mk1s, mk2s, class 37 and class 47 to be able to make a more realistic looking charter train by modern standards. Cheers

Out of interest where did you get the Class 66 in the background from? These coaches are very nice.

Now I can recreate my model train!!! (deltic+5 MK2es)
killakanz  [author] 28 Jun, 2018 @ 1:14pm
@Cheshire Cat Universe yes it is. It's Svelbeard's Train Fever deltic, I patched it into TpF:
https://www.transportfever.net/filebase/index.php/Entry/3462-Class-55-Deltic-Transport-Fever-Patch/
Read the install instructions, you need to install the original first, then apply my patch.

Wait!? Is that a Deltic in the back of the screenshot!?
chrisnaan 18 Apr, 2018 @ 11:05am
2 things. 1. Roughly when can we expect the mk1 FO's? 2. Will we be seeing mk2 FO's?

Thank you.

killakanz: Sorry to bug you by asking this question a second time but could you please tell me what mod you are using to get the grey stone track ballast that appears in your screenshot above? I really like it. By the way the passenger cars are great to. :)
MaikC 4 Apr, 2018 @ 10:01am
Just for info, for the EWS class 66, the user has deleted all his mods and is not longer achiveable.
dwtrains_nz 3 Apr, 2018 @ 3:54pm
Yay nice. I'll have to learn how to reskin stuff. Got a couple of reskins in mind.
killakanz  [author] 3 Apr, 2018 @ 3:23am
@Jammy Games as I said in a previous comment, it looks like the download was removed. Try contacting the author of that repaint.
knackerty 3 Apr, 2018 @ 1:19am
Yes I am that nit! Come to think of it the ground reflection makes sense as these coaches have a distinct curve to the lower body unlike MK1s or European stock. Maybe less pledge on the sides would work. Dont let my comments put you off as your work is ACE.
killakanz  [author] 2 Apr, 2018 @ 3:24pm
@Knackerty
I'm afraid the yellowy artifacting is the ground reflecting off the body. Not much I can do about it other than make the body less shiny.
Also about the yellow step, when making the texture I used a photo I found on the internet as reference, where the step was quite clearly bright yellow on a BR blue/grey liveried coach. I know it wasn't the same on all coaches, some of them had the step painted white, some black. I decided to keep it yellow as it helps the detail stand out a little more. The step does get really grubby though as the coach ages ingame.
I had attempted to make the gutter strip under the roof orange but it came out more red due to the material settings. I'll hold my hand up and say my bad on that one, though I'd hoped nobody was going to nitpick that :P I will probably fix that when it comes to adjusting the textures for the 1st class and brake car versions.

Womderfull addition to the British scene. Two things. There is a strange yellowy artifact or whatever along the bottom of the blue grey coach bodies. Secondly the yellow door steps are a bit big and where not yellow back in the 70s. Just a general worn wooden step colour. No red (should be orange) cant rail stripe then either. I think that was 4 things :steamfacepalm: This is meant to be constructive and in no way deminishies your wonderful work. Hell, I couldnt do it and nither could Hornby (correctly)!

@Jammy Games I don't know what the converter does, I do it all manually.
The EWS repaint had custom audio, but the Train Fever audio configuration files are deprecated and cause Transport Fever to crash.
The mod converter might fix this, but I don't know...
Looking at the links though, the EWS repaint download seems to have been removed. So I guess the converting doesn't matter afterall...
Jumanji_GRE 1 Apr, 2018 @ 1:43am
as you can tell im not the best at this but what do you mean conversion work is requred? I hae the train fever to transport fever mod converter but i dont know weather or not that will work
kido 1 Apr, 2018 @ 1:40am
I got GBRF repaint working without any fixing
killakanz  [author] 1 Apr, 2018 @ 1:29am
... Continued...

The Class 66 is here but be warned it does not work right out of the box. Some conversion work is required to get it working in Transport Fever. I have not released a patch for it yet.

@Dark Centurion I know. I wanted my mk2s to cope with the top speed of my Class 86. The speed doesn't matter much though, we only have 1 UK locomotive that can do more than 100mph at the moment... If a set of standalone Mk3s are released, I may nerf these back down, but at the moment I'm happy for these to be the fastest standalone UK coaches we have...

The Deltic and Class 66 are Train Fever mods.

I released a patch for the Deltic here:
https://www.transportfever.net/filebase/index.php/Entry/3462-Class-55-Deltic-Transport-Fever-Patch/
Please read the install instructions. As it's a patch and the original mod isn't mine, I couldn't put it on the workshop.

chrisnaan 1 Apr, 2018 @ 12:06am
Nice job. You also have a Deltic and 66 in the background, will they ever be a thing we can get our hands?

The coaches look very nice. Thanks for the mod.

Could you please tell me what you are using for track ballast in the pictures.
Centurion 31 Mar, 2018 @ 6:57pm
awesome, but their top speed is 100mph, not 125 :P Mk3s and Mk4s go 125mph
A Guy Called Pi 31 Mar, 2018 @ 5:30pm
Personally, I'd be very interested in that blank version.
HappY=VX9= 31 Mar, 2018 @ 3:34pm
Killakanz does it again! A true lover of the UK railways. Cannot wait to see your next project :)

Absolutely awesome work, shall we be expecting MK3 carriages in the future? If so, I am looking forward to it. So many trains from the UK that haven't been modded, thanks for diving into that market!
