@thetrooth99: Could you let me know the mods in your load order? Considering this is the first I've heard of killbites happening in spite of my mod, I suspect some other mod may be overriding it.

I use your mod, Sid. And I keep getting dragons swinging me in killbites. I'm sickened. Please update your damnable mod.

P.S. Thanks for getting rid of normal combat killcams.

The "No Killmoves" mod disables killmoves and killcams both for the player and for the enemies. The only exceptions are one-hit dagger kills while sneaking and the werewolf's unique killmoves.

Sooooo, the player can still do kill moves, but the NPCs cant, right?

Good to hear it works on your games also, Auzar and Hollow Ichigo.

Confirmed! Werewolves still do killmoves and killcams while this is on. Just happened!

I already had a werewolf killmove things with these mods, that one with tearing off the victim's head from the body, plus "jump on him and rip apart" for a few times as well. They didn't happen too often, but not any less often than without mods.

I sure will! :)

Let me know if you consistently don't see the werewolf killmove-style attacks. I've seen both werewolf and vampire lord finishing moves with the "No Killmoves" mod enabled, but it's not impossible that those characters might have had an abnormal global variable or game setting (not set by this mod)
Fion 29 Apr, 2013 @ 7:59pm
Really? I didn't know that.

I thought if this was enabled being a werewolf would stop their killmoves.

I have been constantly testing my game with fresh restarts to find out why I keep CTD-ing. And my texture packs of HD were the case. And another mod. So I havent really done much killing with a werewolf but tried and there was no killmoves. Thought this mod took it off.

Werewolves' and vampires' special attacks still work with these mods enabled. (Oddly enough, the game doesn't consider those killmoves.)
Fion 29 Apr, 2013 @ 4:39pm
Can this be integrated and used with MCM SkyUI? So we can fiddle with the mod please? Cause if your a werewolf you can't use special moves to tear up people.

That's a good point. If you block an attack, it hits your shield, not your person. Its enchantment or poison should have no effect.

In my ideal Skyrim , blocking with a shield, Deflect Arrows, and Elemental Protection would offer total protection from enemies in front of you, but consume Stamina with each attack stopped. At very low Stamina, you couldn't block at all.

Wards would work the same way, but consuming Magicka instead of Stamina (and only when blocking an attack). Blocking melee attacks would require a perk that would take Ward Absorb's current place.

I don't know if that could be done, and I don't think I'll be able to work on it in the near future. If you or another developer wants to try, a good place to start would be examining how the Deflect Arrows, Elemental Protection, and Deft Movement perks currently work.

My point is, while shields help againt physical damage, they do nothing against posion and enchantment damage types. While it sounds just about how it supposed to be, I found it ridiculous to kill with no troubles even "I won't put down the shield" foes with either of the weapon strengthening effect. After all, shields lowers down how hard a weapon would land on your body, so it might as well reduce or null ench/poison power which is -linked- to your weapon acting. If you didn't even scratch an enemy, how on earth poison would even start its work? Or why your own enchanted axe didn't kill you already, since it's always touching your back/legs when sheathed? The same manner as it only contacts someone's shield, not yet their internals.
Something like that. Enchantments and poisons are still important and interesting part of the game, so not using them at all would be sad. Hopefully, there's something can be done.

Imagine, with your current sword you'll do 100 damage to some enemy. If that enemy will block your strike, it will absorb... let's say, 80% of the damage, leading to just 20 damage in the end. Now let's imagine we have the same sword and test subject, but the sword is enchanted for 25 frost damage. With no special defence, enemy will take 125 damage, which is 25% stronger of plain sword's damage and is quite fair. Now, if the enemy will block, the sword itself will still do 20 damage, but frost ench will still do full 25 damage, causing a total 45 health points loss. That's 125% stronger, than an unenchantment sword would deal to defended target. Or let's imagine you have plain sword, but infused with the strong poison with magnitute of 50. That will be 150 total damage (50% stronger), and in case of shield block, 70 damage (250% stronger).

Thank you for all these mods, I have subscribed to two of them and both are yours. Will test them tomorrow, but according to comments, everything seems to be fine right from the start.
Here's an idea about another anti-cheat mod, however I have no idea how exacly this can be fixed or whether one is already introduced. To start with, let's do a bit of math.
(screw you character limit, I have to break the message in three parts)

Thanks so much getting back to me so quickly..I wrote about your Mod on your main page as I am totally now enlightened about the Camera I used to enjoy watching myself "But at What Cost"...

I don't think there's much difference between subscribing to all of the mods individually and subscribing to the collection. Since these can be loaded in any order, you should be golden either way. I honestly don't know whether if you subscribe to the collection, it will automatically download any new mods added to it.

I already use Follower Trap Safety and it is very good, and I have used Earlier Warnings, so what do you suggest I do now..delete my single download and re-download your group?
