ok found it, you can buy a blueprint from the skeleton scrappers outside Black Desert City. You could also prob buy it from other places too

so u can only use this. as the pc? while other vendors in other factions sells them. even if it is rare on the store but no one uses it, only u can use it? sounds weird or kinda lore breaking cuz non of the other npc's uses it... imagine u are the only one who uses a more advanced weapon that u can bougjt in store or make it.. while others doesn't...

If you want to edit reload time and you are using Crossbows are fun, edit .mod file of the PATCH for Crossbows are fun not the main Tanegashima mod file. I spent too much time figuring this out.

Been playing with the mod for a few days now, working great and iirc didn't need import. All blueprint and items can be obtained, tho guns and ammo are rare to find in stores. The Rebel base north of The Hub sometimes stock on a gun and 1-3 pack of ammo tops, i think crossbow shops stock more bullets but guns are still rare. Making them yourself is the best way to obtain both the gun and the ammo (and it's pretty cheap too material wise).

The mod patch also make it very viable in battle both in group and in one by one (Without the patch it's kinda lacking in range which it too easy for anyone to rush your gunner). I beat the Bugmaster by microing a gunner and Stack can be easily and safely cleared (with time and effort) using only 8 unit of gunners.

Couse i´m reading here that there is still the topic up about costum sounds, saw that Kenshi Star Wars Mod video for testing Jedi Stuff? Seems like they got costum sounds for the lightsabers in it and some other sound effects like the sufficating grab sound.

Unfortunately I'm not finding this anywhere. I've checked many outposts and nothing. I can find bullets but not the actual gun.

reload time might be really high, but seeing limbs shot off, gunning down a beak thing in 2-4 shots, and blasting samurai with specialist armor makes it all worth it.

...and oh yeah, tried selecting a standard turret, standard crossbow, and harpoon turret sounds too. None work. Turns out even the vanilla Spring Bat is supposed to have a unique sound in game and that doesn't seem to work either. Oh well.

....so after weeks of myself an other modders banging our heads against it: sorry folks, adding a proper sound effect is impossible. The game just doesn't support it. Hopefully K2 will be more flexible :(. Also no way for new custom visual FX, and I tried a number of things to get a "smoke puff" effect but they all looked horrible and not worth using.

very strong weapon with slow reload speed, I edited it in FCS and give less damage but faster reload speed for my own liking, love the model thanks for this mod

Its a Shame the sound doesnt work... I know you cant add a sound, but could one maybe remap an existing sound to play when it fires? The Standard Turret sound would be fine.

This mods looks really interesting, shame about the lack of sfx though. Maybe Kenshi 2 will make it easier to mod something like this into the game.

@Windows XP: Yes, I believe it can spawn in different Ranger shops like the others, I don't remember where i found it. Pretty sure you can also get it at the Black Desert Scraphouse, or if all else fails, the Great Library.

@DK: look in the mod folder for the mod's .info file. The name given in the markup is what you must EXACTLY name the folder for the FCS to recognize it. That includes spacing.

@Hans: this works fine for me, my crafter puts the gun in the locker just fine and I can manually place them in the locker as well. Perhaps you have another mod conflicting?

Ignore Velo, he has no idea what he's talking about. Kenshi uses the Wwise system for sound and it's impossible for ANY modder to add sounds to the game without the original manifest from the developer.

I have decompiled the sounds archive, replaced one of the Turret sounds with my own custom rifle sound, and attempted to recompile the archive... but it is impossible without the manifest file that controls the mapping of where sounds in the archive are, so it cannot be put back into the game.

This mod is excellent and the Tanegashima is well made, very balanced with the crossbows, good animation. Velo, if you didn't understand anything I said about Wwise, maybe you should sit down and shut up and say THANK YOU to the people who bring you free content for the fun of it.

it seems this weapon fails to be recognized as a crossbow to be put into the crossbow locker,
forcing me to move every gun into the locker manually. any way to tag it so that it will be put in?

I love this mod and the idea of it. Its just too bad there is no sound or any kind of smoke when you fire :( its really immersion breaking. Is there any mod that changes this ? thanks for your hard work <3

Great mod, helped a great deal with cleaning up Fishman Island just now. Just make sure your gunners have 100% friendly fire avoidance, last thing is popping your own crews skulls (and thrust me, pop they go T-T).
