Electrified versions are available elsewhere on the workshop, although not with the modifications specific to this version made by me. I don't intend to modify this route anymore especially as there are now superior versions available elsewhere.

@grahamritchie800 You may find that the North Somerset Railway available from Golden Age Developments suits your needs quite well.
Highball Simulation 3 Dec, 2022 @ 2:44pm
@brooks06 Electrified versions of the North Somerset can be found here. There's an OHLE and 3rd rail version that can be found on the Workshop.
Lerm 3 Dec, 2022 @ 1:37pm
Heya mate! I really enjoy this route,I was wondering if you would maybe be able to work on an electrified version of it (OHLE to be specific) at some point?
AirbourneAlex  [author] 28 Mar, 2022 @ 11:25am
For personal use yes, however since there's already quite a few versions of the North Somerset line out there it might not be in the communities' best interest to have several versions of the same thing with relatively minor changes if you intend to publish it to the workshop or a 3rd party site.

Dear AirbourneAlex can I clone this route and rebuild sections to have more sidings and sections of double track and a narrow gauge railway in the Quay?
davidclarke485 21 Feb, 2021 @ 10:36am
i run 1 round trip a day on the main section (Frome-Radstock) But in my imaginings the Whatley Quarry line is going to be limited to 12 days a year after a rail authority/quarry operator inspection due to lack of Signals coming onto network rail track at hapsford junction in the Frome direction.

In my QD's I make out that the NSR own a Thumper (205028), Northern Pacer (142047) alongside the 117.
Highball Simulation 30 Jun, 2020 @ 3:45am
That's handy to know. Thank you!
AirbourneAlex  [author] 30 Jun, 2020 @ 3:44am
Haha I've had the same problem also. All my routes are final (I like to get them finished before moving onto another project!) and you can tell by the tag 'final' instead of 'work in progress' on the top right of the page under the thumbnail.
Highball Simulation 30 Jun, 2020 @ 3:42am
Thanks. Sorry if it seemed like a dumb question, but I've had situations in the past where I've downloaded a really good route, only to discover that the developer forgot to make it final!
AirbourneAlex  [author] 30 Jun, 2020 @ 3:41am
Hi Railfan. Yes this route is now final so scenarios for it should work for the steam workshop.
Highball Simulation 30 Jun, 2020 @ 12:17am
Hello again AirbourneAlex. I was wanting to ask if this route is in its final state, as I was wanting to produce some scenarios for it to go on the Workshop.
Highball Simulation 27 Feb, 2019 @ 7:49am
I'll make sure to take a look.
AirbourneAlex  [author] 26 Feb, 2019 @ 3:00pm
Hahaha thanks Railfan. I've got some other routes requiring the modern Riviera line as well, search 'Seaside Line' and 'Heathfield Heritage Line' if you're interested. Rivera line itself is a great little route, one of my favourites.
Highball Simulation 26 Feb, 2019 @ 2:48pm
Thank you. I've recently had some money in, and was thinking of buying that alongside this in order to run this route (which looks amazing). I'm already looking forward to running galas!
AirbourneAlex  [author] 26 Feb, 2019 @ 2:47pm
@Railfan the modern one.
Highball Simulation 26 Feb, 2019 @ 2:23pm
Just to clarify, is Riviera the modern one or the 1950s one?
AirbourneAlex  [author] 19 Jan, 2019 @ 3:31am
Unfortunately I've made the route final so I can't update it anymore. Plus it would be quite tricky to add a loop at Frome, like with what you have tried. If I ever re-publish a new version of this route I will try and add this. Sorry Adam.
Adam Bryant 1 18 Jan, 2019 @ 10:21am
Can you please add a loop just after Frome so trains from Radstock can run round and go into the quarry? I tried making one myself but I got so angry making it because it wouldn't do what I wanted it to do.
AirbourneAlex  [author] 14 Oct, 2018 @ 2:00am
@mglock96 I'll have another look at it soon. From my experience of route building, if a set of points becomes stuck, changing it to a manually operated point makes little difference. You usually have to remodel the junction to fix it. But I'll give it a go anyway.

Route building always takes up a lot of time and I often spend more time building and scenario writing then actually driving the trains! So at the end of the day its nice to hear that my work is appreciated. Many thanks.
mglock96 12 Oct, 2018 @ 11:26am
Still having a couple of issues with the Radstock signal box point. Won't let me run round as it's locked. Probably because of a train in the platform and the signal being cleared. Not sure how easy it is but maybe a manual point (as at Flowers Farm and Radstock loops) would work.

Cheers for all the updates thus far, it's certainly a great route to drive!
AirbourneAlex  [author] 10 Oct, 2018 @ 4:08am
I'm sure it would be possible but too much of the scenery needs to be changed to make enough room to fit the track into the space provided. I might give it a go but I'm unlikely to include it with this route at present, sorry :(
kelsh003 10 Oct, 2018 @ 3:37am
Just a thought with this, would it be possible to add a run round loop at the other end of the line? :)
AirbourneAlex  [author] 7 Sep, 2018 @ 10:13am
There we go mglock96, just updated the route with some changes I've made. If the problem continues just say so I can try to fix it again. Thanks :)
mglock96 6 Sep, 2018 @ 3:23am
@AirbourneAlex - the only way I can get round it is start from Mells Rd, set the route for Frome and go like that. I tend to simulate a service between Radstock and Flowers Farm. The 1:45 standing start is always fun!
AirbourneAlex  [author] 6 Sep, 2018 @ 3:18am
I'm not sure about that mglock96, I'll give it a try later. Thanks for letting me know tho, I still have a small list of things to do before the route is ultimately finished, but I'll try get it fixed ASAP.
mglock96 6 Sep, 2018 @ 2:22am
This is an awesome route. Credit to you!

However, having done a round trip (on Quick Drive), I can't run round at Radstock due to the point next to the signal box not changing for the yard. Is there a quick fix for this, or will it require more attention?
Dan Love Rosalina 7 Aug, 2018 @ 3:46pm
you're welcome :D
AirbourneAlex  [author] 7 Aug, 2018 @ 10:52am
That was a concern, I never personally drive 'big' locos on this route but it should be a simple modification. Thanks Dan.
Dan Love Rosalina 7 Aug, 2018 @ 8:38am
nice but i drove a big engine with tender(duchess of sutherland ) it not fit on the point can you make it more far
AirbourneAlex  [author] 28 Jun, 2018 @ 4:06am
Thanks kelsh, that has worked the trick :D

I'll update the route now, but I need someone to verify that the station has actually dissapeared for subscribers...
kelsh003 27 Jun, 2018 @ 1:00pm
Sorry for late response! In the bin you change <Pickable d:type="cDeltaString">eFalse</Pickable> to
<Pickable d:type="cDeltaString">eTrue</Pickable>. Theres another one underneath that too with just a number 2 in there. The first one was already set to true, it was the one with the 2 that was still at false.
AirbourneAlex  [author] 25 Jun, 2018 @ 11:20am
@kelsh003 can you tell me the lines in the .bin I'm supposed to edit so it works properly?
AirbourneAlex  [author] 25 Jun, 2018 @ 10:51am
@kelsh003 thanks for that. I see what you mean, in theory if I delete the asset from the route editor its 'pin' on the route (co-ordinates of where the asset is placed) will be removed, so it should not appear for other people when on the workshop. I'll give this a try :)
kelsh003 25 Jun, 2018 @ 9:02am
I think what has to happen is in the .bin for the original NSR you have to edit the station to be clickable. Theres two lines in there and one was set to true, the second one false. Changed it to true and i could delete it. Not sure what can be done as everyone who downloads will probably have to do that :/ perhaps the original bin can me modfified and somehow included in the download?
RailRoad Master 25 Jun, 2018 @ 7:39am
your welcom
AirbourneAlex  [author] 25 Jun, 2018 @ 7:01am
Ahhh that makes sense.... Thanks railroad master :)
RailRoad Master 25 Jun, 2018 @ 5:11am
not your route but the 1 im makeing
AirbourneAlex  [author] 25 Jun, 2018 @ 2:29am
Whats the issue with the bridges?
RailRoad Master 24 Jun, 2018 @ 8:11pm
i have the same problem but with the bridges on my line i think it the assets that ar just bug
AirbourneAlex  [author] 23 Jun, 2018 @ 2:27pm
Bugger, I thought that might happen... I deleted the radstock station asset with RWTools, hoping it would delete the station for everyone else when uploaded to the workshop. Looks like that hasn't happened and will be a problem :steamfacepalm:

Thanks Kelsh, I'll see if there's another way around it :)
kelsh003 23 Jun, 2018 @ 2:20pm
Love it! But I'm having a weird bug where the old radstock keeps appearing and I can't delete it? Some of its grass is covering the track too
