Is there a chance of this mod getting an update?
Or... can you grant permission for others to update this in your stead?

The last game update was over a year ago. And it looks suspiciously like the devs have abandoned the game to it's current state, so I doubt you'd have to worry about future game updates breaking mods again.

Please update. As a result of the direct update, you only need to do the version up Then no errors will occur.

Wish there is way to set how many fuels be made and how much food be used. I have too much food from open farm. I also wish it can use seeds as well since GP produce way too many seeds and food.

Hey Boris,

The mod is updated for GP, minus the prefab. I've tried to make the prefab work and i think there's a bug i'm running into which is making it not play nice - until then it works just fine but low-g hydrosynthesis is the only way to unlock it.

I don’t think there’s a way to fix that issue. The menu is too small and needs to be expanded upon. Maybe soon the devs of SM will make the menu scrollable.

i have a problem, not with the mod itself, but with the game interface. the building menu seems just not big enough, so i cant click the building. its off screen. this sucks a lot... any idea or is there a way to config this? didnt find any advice in my searches, but its difficult to search if you are not a native speaker...

long story short if today i read your comments, and i didnt want it to feel like i ripped off the idea :/ tbh you can have the mod, i just wanted a way to burn up food so it didnt clog the farms

@Ampoliros, so after reading more on this mod and seeing the comments and then seeing that someone else copied this mod and claimed it as their own. i got worried. Last week i was playing a map and ran into an issue where i had way way too much food and i wanted to mainly find a way to delete the extra food but keep it withing the realism of the game. I saw your mod but i didnt want to make fuel and there were no other mods i saw that "deleted" food and thus my quest started.

I was first going to make a fusion reactor eat food, but i couldnt figure that out, so a bit of tinkering later i went to the refinery, got it to eat food and produce 'funding' but it didnt add to the money you had, so i swapped the power usage and got it to make power when it had food, then fixed the info panel. granted i am no coder so it breaks if you destroy it currently.

I'd like to do a fuel cell/fuel powered plant at some point to enact that sort of production chain. the idea might be that with the default production of fuel it's a negative return on power, but with this it may be a positive return (for example). Mostly thinking a burst power generation for emergencies.

In fact, you could even argue thia facility MAKING power! I mean there is the 'Bio-Reactor' in Subnaughtica - Maybe that idea would be better as a separate building though (Use that little Sperical power-plant thing - Scale it up a bit and have it perminantly closed?)

The adavantage of biofuel over electrical hydolysis of water is it is much less energy intensive using the solar energy stored in the food already. The default fuel plant needs to be much in energy use to be a bit more realistic. I like your idea of bio fuel.

You could justify making this more energy effecient too. The default fuel maker is using electricity to convert water into hydrogen and oxygen fuel which requires a lot of energy. Make the default fuel plant much more energy intensive as it should be since it does not take much to run it as of now, no challenge.

Oh yeah - and any feedback on stats is appreciated. Building image will be up as soon as Steam image uploads work again...
