I approve of most of the changes made from the original mod, such as the removal of the turrets, coolers and heaters. There are numerous mods which add turrets. And many add interesting new heaters and coolers, modifications to vanilla heaters and coolers, or rather complex heating and cooling systems. (I was just considering Centralized Climate Control (Continued) , among several others.)

Myself, I think it's a bit regretful that mods like this are not split up into several separate mods. That way we could easily pick and choose which parts to use and players like myself would be more inclined to use them. Big mods that combine various things that are not closely related to each other have a higher risk of conflicts with other mods. And for those who like to use lots of mods, it's also likely they'd add clutter - stuff we'd never use as other mods overlap, offering some of the same or similar stuff.

@Norfuer same here; it's basically the *only* "advanced walls" that feels actually balanced, with the additional micro-management, resources, and pawn worktime involved in making some reinforced walls' plates!

Any chance you could detect VWE - Coilguns, and patch your walls to stop Coilguns rounds from penetrating them?

Hey there, @james76543.

I've written a couple patches for this mod, to add support for some other things, if you would be interested in bundling them officially.

This patch checks for Combat Extended, and removes the DDA barbed wire and associated research, as well as replaces the CE barbed wire textures with the(arguably superior) DDA ones if detected. https://pastebin.com/1bpk89UW

This patch checks for Fences and Floors/Fences and No Floors, and simply removes DDA's fences and associated research in favor of theirs if detected. Honestly this second is kinda more of a 'personal preference' thing, but still, throwing it out there in case it helps. https://pastebin.com/gNXe969U

You may noticed some changes to this mod, I decreased the cost required to build a wall, increased its HP, and added chemfuel as a requirement to manufacture reinforced plates at the electric refinery. It's now as strong as four walls of the material used, but costs about 80% of the material cost.

OOH I see what you're saying. Let me go back and rebalance a little bit and adjust things. The wall should definitely be at least as strong as the sum of the strength of the materials, but I had not considered that.:steamsad:

@james76543 problem is reinforce plate and we use 7 not 5 material like vanilla

2 reinforce plate make by 1 steal 1 plasteel 1 block wall use 10 reinforce plate and 7 material

base hp if build wall is 5 steel = 350 hp and 5 plasteel 980 hp and then 7 material in case steel 1 steel = 70 hp is mean 7 = 490 hp then 350 + 980 +490 = 1820 hp but we can get only 1000 hp for that ,Why we need to reinforce ? when can use only 5 plasteal or 12 steel is get almost 1000 hp

@VectorHextor the <MaxHitPoints> for the vanilla wall is 350, so the reinforced walls are about three times that at 1000. The blast door is 750 vs 160 for vanilla. I can always increase it more, but I didn't want to increase it so much that it's out of balance. What would you suggest? (Also this is from the most up to date version on the workshop)

i redownload all my mod this day at this time

@VectorHextor the reinforced steel wall should be 1600 strength, and on average the reinforced wall is about 3 times the strength of the non reinforced wall. Is there another mod you're using that alters the strength of the walls?

@JinnTacc are they NOT attacking normal doors? Maybe I don't have something classified correctly? I normally play with a mod that allows wild animals to attack doors so that's a normal behavior for me.

ex.
pure plasteel wall with 5 plasteel is 980 HP !
reinforce steel wall need 10 reinforce and 7 steel for 1 block with 1000 hp

2 reinforce need 1 steel and 1 plasteel

can you make wall more stronger ?

@=MGC=Snowmech I thought about adding that as well. For some reason I used to have reinforced and fire resistant reinforced embrasures as well but they got dropped from whatever mod (probably ED Embrasures) in the B19 update. It would be an easy addition if I could make the graphcis file! I'll look into it later.

I am really liking this mod. The only thing is I like to use ED Embrasures as well. Would be perfect to have DDA reinforced Embrasures as well. Could there be a possible compatability in the near future?
