actually, this wasn't a decompile of 2fort, I used the vmf from the legacy source sdk (it's a f****** old vmf, but it's still working), the areaportal issue is caused by me extending the skybox and not being able to fix the portals properly. If I had the skills to fix it I would. Areaportals are something I avoid for the most part. I'm not sure where exactly the point of failure is, I suspect multiple sky areas have openings into one another causing this. I've never been able to find the exact point however. I don't know where to look. The tower however, IS from a decompile of highertower. It's copied into it. I suspect it might have portals somewhere too. I'll need to look again once I find the vmf again.

I assume you're using unofficial decompiles of 2fort?
I actually think there is an official vmf lying around somewhere, you might wanna find that.
Alternatively, redo the areaportals.

there are MANY graphical bugs. All due to areaportals. So, unlikely that I did better

I'll take a few more soon :) just know the graphical issues with areaportals make it a B**CH to screencap the entire tower
