Report a translation problem
I played from bottom right. Idk if you can build walls to the edge.
No farmland and no the only resource in your borders is 6 iron. Stone and pitch are outside the walls, not too far, but with no farms you have to autobuy food, you need more resources for income. Few trees too, but many trees that are sitting right there, yet are in impassable terrain for some reason. On a timed treaty game this made for a very very very slow start.
Despite my slow start, the game was ok, but then after awhile it would pause every few minutes for 15 seconds or more. This wasn't autosave. Eventually I couldn't stand it anymore.
Also, I believe an XL map is just too big, always, especially for 4 players. At least it had villages out there, but with the bottlenecks I saw, there isn't many routes to go, so it becomes an issue of them having instant troops because you're at their base, while you have to walk for 5 minutes to reinforce.
Truly I feel bad saying anything about this, as it's beautiful. I am going to retry from a different spot and hope that it was a fluke game or something. If so, i'll rewrite this.
