Sorry guys yes it ended up broken due to an update years ago and hasnt been updated.

This mod appears to be broken with no way to unlock the machine that makes parchment, It seems like someone started to expand the mod and then submitted an incomplete update...... Even for community created content that is sad. Or it was broken by an update, but with no compatible version listed....

Finally! Now that stash of you know who is actually usefull now...unless it doesn't work with human teeth...

Research gives you the papyrus farms and paper press. Paper press only accepts parchment and ink, which outputs blueprints. There is no clear way to craft parchment with papyrus, or really any use for papyrus. Ink research requires parchment, which can't be crafted. Also when adding papyrus to paperpress it just disappears.

The paper press takes ink and parchment to make blueprints. It should probably take papyrus and make parchment.

the papyrus dissappears when adding it to the paper press due to the fact that it makes blueprints instead of paper. might need a fix at some point or unless you have a big update for this mod coming. Cheers

I'm lost on the need for human teeth i think i have a mod confilct let me dig through my mod list.

The paper press as far as i remember presses the papyrus into parchments. Isnt it doing that?

Really dumb question but i get very little time to play. Downloaded this to work with the craft advanced books mod since its so book heavy. I literally can not figure out how to craft parchment. Is there a machine i'm missing? I'm at tech level 5. I have all the reserch up to that level for the mod as far as i can tell. I can grow papyrus and build a paper press cant figure out parchment. think you guys could make a sub topic to explain the requirements for each step and how to go about it?

@Zakarov Yeah its all fixed now, well it was fixed yesterday but deth merged the new and the old without importing the new work benchs which broke it haha. But i spent the morning tweeking bits and bobs here and there so once Deth gets on he can upload it for you guys.

@Aletsis You can grow it, theres a small and large field. But if you wait until later the whole mod will be working and ready to go, currently theres a bottleneck due to merging rather than replacing.


@Anyone There will no doubt be a more advanced version with far more in-depth research in the future but this version will remain as it is.

Just a heads up, after a merge of the two this version is unplayable / broken, The new version will be ready tomorrow with an ink icon aswell. Just gotta go over some numbers ect.

The mod has a new contributor! now the mod is even more advanced, but kept simple enough to where people should be able to work as they have. New materials are finally added, and i could use someone who knows how to add icons. Thanks for all the support!

Ok, taken about 2/3 hours depending if you count coffee and smoke breaks but iv sort of maybe accidentally rewrote most of the mod, its working well but im just testing and tweeking bits of it, Iv added you so give me a shout when your online and ill give you the files. Theres still stuff you might need to do, for instance an icon for the ink ect, but you could just google it, scale it and thats it done. :)

Ok, looking at the mod again and the knockon effects need altered so i have removed the dropbox link and will fix what iv messed up by fixing it lol.

Having multiple tooth ink is messy tho. Better off with a machine that refines animal and another for human then have benches that craft the three book types with different costs on paper/ink rather than machines that do the same but for different ink types.

Ok Yeah still not working but i know why, looking at the mod the ink machine is just not set up right at all which is odd because your other machines are
Anyway didnt have a consume or produce tab for the ink machine. Iv fixed it so its now accepting teeth and pumping out ink (needs an icon tho)

I was going to fix the mod yesterday but it was 11pm by the time i stopped playing kenshi, ill go check it now and yes the bio distillery didnt seem to have an input/output set (which might still not work if theres no recipe) Didnt wanna jump in and fix it because its your mod but if its not working now ill fix it and you can have the files as your own work lol :D

Yeah no i have the same issue coffee, no ink option for the craft queue. thought it was that i needed to research it first or something weird but i cant find a tech for just the ink that i didnt already research. hope this is fixed soon since i have the everything i need to start making the books other then the ink. :)

Sorry man, bad news again. its all to do with the ink making machine, it doesnt seem to have an input/output so it cannot accept anything. Your using a crafting bench which is fine if you make a recipe for it, which isnt really needed as teeth outside this mod are useless to the player.

I suggest using the auto cotton loom as your starting machine for the ink crafting as it already has one input one output meaning changing cotton to teeth and fabric to ink shouldnt be too hard.

Can i ask if you have tested it because it might just be me?

ok reupdated, adn had a look around, appearently you cannot have more than 1 item be used to craft an object at any one instance. Soooooo, i made it so they only require teeth, teeth are now stackable, and have bins which will probebly allow you to store more than a few 20k. Hope this helps.

You know the automated cotton loom? Could dupe that, input teeth output ink. Id just stick to animal teeth tho, you can get 1000+ human teeth very easily from bugmasters house so hunting would make it more of a challenge.

Tooth storage is really needed tho.

But after unsubbing, importing, saving, exiting, subbing, loading and importing theres still no recipe for the ink. If you want to use teeth just make it animal only (until the mods fully working) and add tooth storage. Then just have it auto craft ink using an auto cotton loom rather than a crafting bench. Much easier to just change input/output rather than making a recipe for it aswell.

Tried it again, i have no clue as to how to make ink still. Iv built the ink machine "makes ink from animals and melted teeth" I cant add teeth or animals and theres no recipe for ink there. If theres suppose to be one maybe its a bug? Ill resub but as far as i can tell ink making isnt working.

That being said teeth are about the worst material to use. I know where to get over 1000 but omg transfering them is so time consuming. If you can make a tooth storage that would be fantastic lol. Make it able to hold a good 5000 tho. Dont want the neighbours to think im weird with barrels and barrels of teeth just lieing about :)

Is it still a wip? I can farm the papyrus and stuff but actually making ink or getting any further with it seems to ilude me. (or its broken)

The ink storage for example stores all armor :)

Descriptions are needed obviously and crafting benches need to work as intended, unless being naked helps in the ink making XD
