it makes the game better

You're outdated, like my torchlight said.
me_irElle 3 Jun, 2014 @ 5:56am
@Anonanon: I did that and it worked, thank you!

@SpartaTheHunter: I think you need to move all my mods to top priority. Either that or some new update broke all my mods.
me_irElle 2 Jun, 2014 @ 6:24am
This mod doesnt work for any characters, including new ones

It probably makes the gameplay much easier with some specific skills, like Prismatic Bolt + Tri-Ele Brands. I know it becomes boring to wait until level 90 to get a tier 3 skill, but it's seriously breaking the game's difficulty. There should be some balancing drawbacks to prevent excessively cheesy gameplay in order to keep the game challenging enough.

it's for whent update 1.25.5.2

Really great mod, Thank you, And i have noticed on my level 91 embermage that the level cap on her abilities are gone. Wether this was intended or no i have no idea but here it is anyway.

honestly Im going to try this right now. if someone did a complete texture rehall and stuff to go with this id love this game even more. as to the guy that said "its time to bury diablo guys." i completely disagree Diablo is prob the reason games like this still exsist. (excluding diablo 3 i feel like the months i put into that game are a waste.)

@Juba The Cat: As someone who played a cannon Engineer on the first playthrough, I too would love it if my Blast Cannon skill allowed procs like mana leech.
Juba The Cat 11 Apr, 2013 @ 7:17pm
Gotta say this a great mod. Doesn't change a whole lot, but what it does change makes the game play a bit different and that's all I really want out of a mod (plus I loved the way D2 did it skills). Now if I could only get a mod that allowed life/mana leech on special skill attacks, I'd be a happy camper. Thanks to the author for putting this out there.

guys just stop bitching about a mod its just a game get the fuck over it
Açylus 9 Apr, 2013 @ 5:43am
Oh my god its just a mod, stop bitching on a page for a mod you don't even want
Charlie Cyprus  [author] 8 Apr, 2013 @ 3:33pm
@Bonder: Take a breather and relax, this is just a mod that turns skill tree intervals into multiples of 6.
zydian_ 8 Apr, 2013 @ 6:19am
BionicAir, PoE is closer to D2 (and no its not what you think, i played more T2 then PoE)
Misery1ndex 7 Apr, 2013 @ 7:11pm
Well no shit sherlock, but since Diablo 3 was a total failure, TL2 is as close as we'll ever get to the legendary Diablo 2. and in case you didnt know, Runic games = the guys who made Diablo 1,and 2.
labubu 7 Apr, 2013 @ 7:19am
This game isnt fucking diablo... Cmon. guys
Candesco 7 Apr, 2013 @ 5:12am
@Onikuma: that would mean that you have to dive into code and change the mechanics. I know what you mean. In D2 you have also active and passive skills, but the passive are then linked directly to an active one instead of being on their own.

Would be interesting to see the return of Diablo 2 skill synergies. For those that don't know, let's say you have a Berserker and you put points into Frost Breath; it would make the rest of his Frost skills in the same tree gain extra damage. This way you become stronger by specializing into one school of skills, and not having a hodge podge all around utility kit for every type of enemy and reinforced co-op play.

I think this mod is good as is, but would definitely need more nostalagia feel with other mods. It's good that even with this mod, the skills still feel fair.

@KarisxmatikO @Saeniver: I have a Globe Overlay mod ready to upload, but it doesn't really have a place in the Workshop since there are better mods uploaded that display much more information. Customizing the UI in GUTS is really frustrating because there's a problem with previewing it, so I'm holding off on it.
Saen 3 Apr, 2013 @ 5:18pm
Bumping Karis' comment, and maybe even Dark Interface, w/ Diablo Orbs (:
KarisxmatikO 3 Apr, 2013 @ 11:05am
Please add Diablo Orbs, those i take from the website mods for Torchlight II don't work anymore :(
Tony Bing 3 Apr, 2013 @ 3:49am
changed load order and put it above synergies and that done the trick incase anyone else is having same problem
Tony Bing 3 Apr, 2013 @ 2:51am
the skills unlock at lower levels for me with the lvl 30 equivelant being unlocked at 15, any else get this? great mod btw:D
The DorkKnight 2 Apr, 2013 @ 7:34pm
ahh, my apologies, I misread evidently. I love the mod! great work!
M U S i K 2 Apr, 2013 @ 6:09pm
wow , thx for bringing some nostalgia to this :D
Charlie Cyprus  [author] 2 Apr, 2013 @ 5:41pm
@1.man.wolf.pack: That's correct, they come "unlocked" so you can "invest" points into them just like in Diablo II.
Beef Taco 2 Apr, 2013 @ 4:30pm
This would be better if it removed the level caps for skills :l
The DorkKnight 2 Apr, 2013 @ 3:04pm
great mod, the only isse is that the initial point investment you listed does not work and the first skill in each tree still has to be "bought" it seems, unless of course i'm misreading your verbiage.
Koenig! 2 Apr, 2013 @ 12:40pm
does not work!
Malachai13 1 Apr, 2013 @ 10:24pm
aside from the passives, of course :3
Malachai13 1 Apr, 2013 @ 10:24pm
Would you consider making a lite version of this, where the skills are unlocked at the normal levels, but dont have the annoying multi level wait once you have about 4 or 5 ranks in them?
Maxson 1 Apr, 2013 @ 10:17pm
This works and is nice overall.
FC Hatred 1 Apr, 2013 @ 8:06pm
Thank you for this!
Necrotech Amber 1 Apr, 2013 @ 7:56pm
Works great! I love the versatility I can get at lower levels now! Subbed, Rated, Fav'ed!
Huntaris 1 Apr, 2013 @ 7:36pm
This Looks Awesome! Can't wait to try it out!
