I've tried all versions, either it doesn't work or the container UI always open on top of the inventory UI, no matter where i move either of them.

I play on window mode on half of my big screen tv (because im playing Multiplayer) so the inventory moved together under my character but it still stayed there so thats just perfect for me. i know this is an old mod but i still had to say thankyou very much!!!

This mod ruins default behavior of the game NUKE IT! DESTROY THIS MOD....

For those people who have there own mods that patch the interface.config... Just add

to your patch. Replace 200 with whatever fits your screen/ui setup nicely.

Yea...i can, but you could also. I do when i find some time, for the moment learn how to unpack steam .pak files, edit value in file using Notepad ++ and use in manual mod folder...

do you think you could do a 200px version? maybe even a 100px version? for different monitors and resolutions. I think 200 would be perfect for me and 100 would be good for a friend of mine.

So is this just like the mk1 that always get reset everytime you get out of the game or there is going to be separated into the left and right window? cos whenever i restart, the 2 windows always get layered in the middle of the screen

@ScrabParamit,.. People think mods are easy to make and should work the same as buying bread for dinner. Anyway,.. Good luck with them projects, I cant program next to editing the Setting files and able to read them.

And to all of you: Learn to read,.. Or try and find the definition of modding, because 1 does not eaqual 2,.. its that the 1 turns in a 2, while a PC uses Binary and people like this Moder does more than love can give, to find that 2 and turn it back in a 1 so you can play with mods we all enjoy.
Dont complaine if you cant Mod, or fix it yourself if you think you can do better.

It has...just upack and place in mod folder if you wish...and change variable, this is just a fix for something that was broken.

As for any other functions...i have other things to do and mod...like for moment heavy rebuild of Miners in Gardebot v2 mod THAT WAS RE-WRITTEN of translatedo to work in 1.3.3 broken and skewed to begin with btw. (found functions that did not work properly).
...and then just before end of that project on long line BattleTech hit...and yea... there are few things needing fix by mods =P

Needs a variable distance (similar to v2), and also, if it supported adjusting the player UI further left for excessively large containers (EC gives a 300 block storage container which is *always* hitting the failsafe), you'd have some additional space to fit the window without it overlapping the standard inventory every single time it's opened.

Also, I'll admit I'm not familiar with the limitations of the engine, but it seems like it wouldn't be too complex to calculate the distance to shove the window contingent on the size of the container (I'd assume container objects have a size parameter that's gettable), given how far you already are.

If you don't need effects provided by this mod why you subscribed to it in the first place...if it was all good before? Don't comment as a negative that mod works and does what it suppose to - i know it does...but apparently you don't know what you want.

Some of us don't move items via mouse but Shift+LMB/RMB Click things around, and for us invetory just obstruct vision in need of another container switch. For those this mod was made...and to fix 2 revisions that did not work. Maybe its some twisted minority, but all need some love (except primary psychopaths and demons/geniuses).

I am playing starbound at 1440p and the original mod was usefull but indeed a litle bit small. I may need to move my mouse more for inventory management, but at least I can see my character and not be like he/she is enclosed bethween 2 walls. Thanks for making this fix.

I dislike this mod. With it, every time I open a chest, I have to move it back to the middle of the screen so that it's right next to my inventory (which I moved to the left of the screen at the start of the game). Without the mod, I only have to move my inventory once per game. I never have to reposition a chest when I open it. It automatically appears next to my inventory.

You need to move your inventory window to the side EACH TIME game starts. That's game engine limitation every ver of such modification suffered from. When you move your window to the side its position is remembered and container UI is opened on the side.
As i wrote: "if your container window still/ever opens "on top" of inventory, it means it was to wide to fit on screen and game engine safeguard moved it back."
Its obvious the...if your read description...container UI didn't fit and you need to move your inventory window more to the left.
