I found that I was able to replicate the results you got by pasting an eyelid texture onto the eye material.
I believe you were trying to paste an eyelid texture onto the eyes, which won't exactly work since the eyelid textures were only made to be compatible with eyelids. :)
Try using one of the eye textures instead.
I'm pretty sure i'm just dumb and i'm using the wrong textures or something
I'm choosing eyeball_r & eyeball_l, Is that the right one or wrong?
