Now that is see the mod has outlived it's time, ill have to unsubscribe. Thank you for this mod as it was instrumental to my game play in early release :)

ACE doesn't have automatic crafting queues for anything except buildings, in my experience.

Thanks for bringing the bug to my attention, though keep in mind that this mod is very much outdated as it is and shouldn't be used. However, it is implemented in the ACE mod as well, as such you don't need to use this mod. :)

i'm haveing a problem where i can't make orders for my carpenter, i'm not sure if it has any thing to do with this mod or not

playing non-ACE, some time into the game it starts generating errors.
mostly with workshop templates and when i start a building without having the neccessary job.
e.g. starting a building that needs items from the blacksmith and i don't have someone with this job yet.

Hey so I love to use your mod. I noticed since the new update, the mod kind of breaks now. I also am using the orc mod, and the elf mod, but I noticed that when I build the barracks building, the mod fully destroys itself, and stops working period.

Indeed it isn't, I still have to update it to fit the released version of the game. (which is a long time coming, I know)
In the meantime, I'd suggest that you look into the ACE mod, as it also has the same functionality as this one, and more to boot!

Hmm, sounds like an interesting bug, once I get to the mod again I'll have to look into it as well. Are there any other mods you use as well? In case any other mods are in conflict with this one...

a have a little issue that i need to fix. crafters makes all intermediate craftings even if all resources are avaible.

It does, it was added into ACE, with some modifications to make it work. At some point in time I'll make those modifications here as well... when I stop being lazy...

i like this mod. but somethimes it adds double of what is needed and other times it makes them make something that i dont need for some reason. there are some things that just keep getting qeued (mostly things like marble and dried alge) for no reason (that i can find)
so in the end (for now) id rather do it myself and not end up with the whole having to delete 10-20 qeued items cause i lost track

Actually, he's true, it's coming from yours.
But if you load your game again, you can manage to craft some stuff that didn't appear previsouly, but some new one won't be able to be crafted.
This mod is broken anyway, and Drotten said he will try to find time to fix it. Please, read previous comments. ;)

@Sergeant Johnson: That sounds really odd, initially I'd say that it's another instance of the previous known bug, but it might stem from something else. It might possibly be from a different mod that is incompatible with this one. It will be more apparent, though, once this mod is (eventually) updated.

my weaver is completely broken, cannot make any items, and it (for some reason) when i tried to build the weaver house, it gave me 200 orders of cloth and threads, and any items such as the thick leather vest or curtains do not queue up at all, it just puts 4 duplicates of the thread requirement and the leather to make it instead of queue-ing up what i actually want

@Daemon Trooper: Yeah, these are pretty much known issues (or rather, a different instance created from said issues). When I (eventually...) get around to updating the mod, it ought to be fixed.

Adding Marblestone to the herbalist for every mason craft or even some buildings.
Sometimes not allowing to queue Padded Vests for Rayyas.
Adding "ingredients" to the queue even if already posessed (Blacksmith/Weaver/(Mason or Potter or Carpenter, specifically for Firewood)

Hey Myst, there is an intent to update it for sure, I just need to get my thumb out of my a--. As it is currently, it's not really worth having the mod installed, imho, because of it queuing up more items than needed.

So the error here is a stack overflow, which, in this case, means that there's an endless loop of recipes being added (that's my guess at least). I've seen this happen once before, and it was from someone's test mod which had one recipe that produced wood resource from something.

I haven't taken a peek at your mod as of yet, but maybe you have a recipe that produces a raw resource? A resource that you don't have in your town inventory I might add.

I think I know what may cause the bug you're seeing. It's something that was fixed for the ACE version, but something I have yet to port over into this mod.

Not sure if this is caused by the new Blacksmithing, but my Blacksmiths always auto-que other things when I try to have them craft something (most noteabley the Vault, the item that can store 256 items; also happens when trying to craft higher-grade armor).

To explain, the crafters often think they need to craft more coke (the higher tier coal) everytime I ask them to craft something. I looked into my kingdoms inventory, curious to see how much just normal coal I had. I had 42 of that coked coal already made. happened to gold ingots as well, when the requirements were already made.

Lastly, just incase this may play a role I had 5 of my hearthlings become blacksmiths because I wanted them to produce ingots faster before I realized this bug

That's an interesting idea, but as you mentioned with your second post, it would only work sometimes. I'm thinking that the crafter should be able to see that since you want to craft, say 48, vaults, then they should make sure that there are enough ingredients available for exactly one vault. I.e., first craft 2 gold ingots then 3 steel ingots, and then craft a vault, and so on.

It's more work than your suggestion, but I think it's worth it in the end.

unfortunately, that only half-works for goods that have multiple intermediaries, such as the vault. for example, I decided to make 48 vaults because I'm crazy and love more storage than I know what to do with. normally, the blacksmith would then make 96 gold, then 144 steel (and iron as well). with my mentioned method of flipping it around, the blacksmith would make 96 gold, then 3 steel, then a vault, and flip back and forth between making steel and vaults

an alternative suggestion is to, in addition to flipping the order of crafting, ask that the crafter maintain a stock of the minimum number of items needed to craft (in this case, 2 gold and 3 steel). this will ensure that the crafter will always try to build the finished, desired product first, rather than having a large stock of undesirable intermediaries. down-side to this is that it leaves behind the "maintain stock" order, so the player would need to clean up afterwards if they don't want to hold an extra intermediary

hey, when you do go about updating this/the ACE version, think you could flip the order around?

for example, let's say you want to make 20 mean beds (stone or wood, doesn't matter). the crafter will then make 20 sleeping spots, and only once those are done will they even think about making a mean bed. in the meanwhile, your poor hearthlings will have nowhere to sleep.

flip the order around, and the crafter will still make the sleeping spots first, because the crafter goes down the list to find the first item they can actually do. however, once they've made a sleeping spot, they'll then make the bed

@Black Furiouse: Yeah it needs to be updated, there are some bugs that have popped up since some update ago and it's missing some features. However, if you have installed the ACE mod, then all of that (or most of it at least) is in there, as Smart Crafter is included in ACE. I'll also have to look into disabling this mod if ACE is installed.
Though time right now is limited on my end so I don't dare to say when those fixes will be live, sorry for the inconvenience everyone.

doesnt seem to work as well anymore. Before if i needed a steel bar but already had the material it wouldve went straight to queue but now recently if i ned a steel bar it put the requirements anyway.

我觉得这个MOD最好的地方在于他能让工作一步达成,就和说明里一样,你只需要让工匠工作,如果工匠需要的工艺品你没有,那么相应的职业会帮他做一个(当然你预定制作序列的时候也会出现一些不必要的订单。)
