I really liked this map, it had great reuse of elements and was overall a pretty solid light bridge and funnel puzzle. Favourited!
SpielSatzFail 6 Jul, 2024 @ 12:22pm
Played Fumbly's edition some years ago. Didn't know there's an alternate solution. Solved it the way bullfrog did. Hm.
Muzozavr 11 Mar, 2024 @ 12:18pm
Unavoidably fiddly positioning near the end, but worth it for the clever move. Felt like the button for the bridge fizzler could have some extra reuse maybe, but the rest is all very tightly put together. Super clever final move, even if a quicksave is very recommended. ;)

@64 you position the cube on the light bridge in line with the button, so that it stays on the new light bridge you make when going back for the tractor beam. there's a couple lights on the ceiling to help you line it up :)

I'm not sure I figured out the last move in any way it was meant to be done, but eventually I found out you can climb onto the doorframe of the exit and throw the cube into the beam - I'm not sure how else to get it into position, exactly? Are you supposed to use the block respawning there or something?
vallibus 11 Nov, 2023 @ 1:42pm
Very nice.

Yup good one, just reminder there's a quicksave players should do toward the end; since the visual guide isn't exactly helping, when would that be should be quite clear for players.
G4lvatron 9 Feb, 2023 @ 4:33pm
Didn't take long to solve, but I really do love the solution. Very good!
bullfrog 13 Nov, 2022 @ 8:50pm
@Demon Arisen, ah, so the only difference is in how you initially get the cube: fully intended solution ? Anyway, thanks for getting back to me so quickly and good to hear from you - cheers.
Demon Arisen  [author] 13 Nov, 2022 @ 2:10pm
@bullfrog Thanks for playing again! Glad you enjoyed. Ah I didn't realise the solution video was unavailable. Ngeruma played the hammerised version of this map recently and if I recall he used the intended solution https://youtu.be/THY5lzbLWiA
bullfrog 11 Nov, 2022 @ 1:02am
@Demon Arisen, good to play this again 4y5m later, have another . I ended up solving it the same way as last time, which you said was "a completely acceptable alternate solution". The intended solution video is no longer available and I think everybody else, apart from @Joric of course, has solved it the same way. I don't really expect a response, but i just wondered what the fully intended solution is.

"Impossible, as it is to imagine, there actually is a solution, devilishly hidden."

@Hikari Thanks! :) Glad you enjoyed it

Excellent map! Here's my blind playthrough: https://youtu.be/E2sEt1U6k9s

The puzzle has the quintessential DA architecture of seeing that you need to return to the entrance, but with no clue how that might happen ;-P Clever. I was at the 1:10 point on the solution video where you go grab the funnel so that you can splash the cube and really had no vision what would move me forward. I could only see one thing to do (kill the cube with the funnel) and literally proceeded to try it based solely on that it seemed like a very DA thing to do...turned out to be right. Glad you dug this one up!

Very nice puzzle I came back to after a long while. Something about it feels like it has really good "PeTI visual design"
Winnie Wheatley 19 Apr, 2020 @ 6:21pm
Awesome puzzle. Not too difficult, but very elegant. I like the combination of Light Bridge and Tractor Beam. Thanks for creating! :) :47_thumb_up:

So simple, but devilishly clever! Thanks!

Nice one Demon. Sweet and simple. I'd be willing to say classical. Thanks for staying around with all you have going on. Hope to see more and it would make me smile to see you stopping by my shop.
After the life, death ... [ALD] 26 Jun, 2019 @ 12:34am
Simple and efficient.
Continue like this, and on my side I will continue to solve them ::lunar2019grinningpig:
Thanks Demon Arisen

That was fun, I've just completed your collection. Looking back, I feel a sense of Nostalgia. Or a sense of playing Nostalgia. Or both. Yes, definitely both. Thanks so much for the hours and hours of frustration fun! Anxiously awaiting your next creation.

I still read the description of each one of your puzzles and this time I was a little disappointed at first that there isn't another Cave Johnson message, but that description warmed my heart. Keep designing more great tests like this one and we'll keep solving them! :)
wildgoosespeeder 19 Feb, 2019 @ 2:26pm
Sometimes simple designs are just a blast to solve. Sometimes there is just no need to make something very complex.

Misplaced last portal... noooooo! Neat map, took me a second to figure out the last move. Also, a huge thank you for mentioning BEEmod! I was over here working in puzzle maker like a caveman (not Johnson), thinking "I should really teach myself Hammer so I can do more interesting things."
zigzagtenniscoe 24 Dec, 2018 @ 5:57pm
Ah I see
Demon Arisen  [author] 24 Dec, 2018 @ 5:16pm
@zigzagtenniscoe Old map, published recently - the music just happens to be what I had in BEEMOD before publishing.
zigzagtenniscoe 24 Dec, 2018 @ 4:57pm
hm, you say this was an old map using the stock PETI puzzlemaker but it has wheatley music..? confused.

either way great puzzle as always, thumbs up!
Dark Rozen 19 Nov, 2018 @ 2:34pm
Quite a good puzzle with the reuse of elements. The enterance was a little weird for me.
sembiox 26 Oct, 2018 @ 2:14pm
Good job. I very much enjoy playing your maps. Thank-you,
Joric 29 Sep, 2018 @ 8:53pm
Also, stock puzzlemaker >> BEEmod. I'm so tired of cookie-cutter-overgrown-theme maps everywhere.
Joric 29 Sep, 2018 @ 12:42pm
Nice map! Pretty exploitable though. You could jump into the portal and reestablish the funnel https://youtu.be/67QJ6Yj0Zys (also there's a way where you don't need to bring a cube there). Maybe add protection against that shot (you can just put funnel emitter on the opposite wall).
BehindPortal 8 Sep, 2018 @ 4:47am
cool puzzle. i played P2 after a long time.
lfairban 22 May, 2018 @ 4:20pm
Nice puzzle. I can tell it is old. I didn't beat my head against the screen, even once.
nock 21 May, 2018 @ 6:28am
Even for an old map it was still a very well made one. Not many element's but those are the ones which make you think the most :)

@kimist108 Thank you! :D

Love it when the 'ah-ha' hits. Thumbs up!

@loppol11 Thank you, loppol! Good to see you're still around, I remember your maps from the good old days of Rage's FCR videos! :)
EllaBrella 19 May, 2018 @ 1:37am
Excellent puzzle, and congrats on 300 followers!!!
Demon Arisen  [author] 12 May, 2018 @ 7:21am
Thanks K7! Glad you liked it :)
K7 Avenger 12 May, 2018 @ 7:20am
That was fun Demon, was actually a little more challenging than I expected. Just proves that a good puzzle doesn't need beemod to be good. Thumbs up and added to my favourites.
Demon Arisen  [author] 4 May, 2018 @ 10:34am
Thanks, Konclan! Glad you enjoyed it. Perhaps I should trawl through the rest of my editor and see what I can find
Konclan 3 May, 2018 @ 11:40pm
Great puzzle, really glad you uploaded this! :p2cube:
Demon Arisen  [author] 3 May, 2018 @ 1:21pm
@dven1 Thanks! As it says in the description, this is an old puzzle, so it probably focuses on outdated conventions and ideas.
dven1 3 May, 2018 @ 11:20am
Nice map, well made and sufficiently lit. Good puzzle but I could swear I played it before. Probably one or two actions in this one were similar to those in some others. Thanks for your efforts.

This was the first map I haven't been able to nut out. :( Thumbs up, though: it's not your fault I'm stupid. :)
SkyGlass 28 Apr, 2018 @ 9:30pm
Thanks for the positive words, and the smile:) A sign of a good puzzle is when you think "Can I do that?" and it works. Looking forward to seeing more fun puzzles that may be waiting in your editor.
Demon Arisen  [author] 28 Apr, 2018 @ 3:03pm
Thanks everyone! :) Glad you all enjoyed it.
