Hrm. I can see the reason behind this mod (it sorta feels OP the vanilla way), but with there being so much to do now, if Iw ere to use this mod I would probably also use the option to double the avatar project length. so, torn.

The remove avatar project progress thing plus the perk which stops it in its tracks means you can fairly easily get their progress to 0!

I just finished another Legend/Ironman campaign. I don't like the avatar project pressure. I will rather try to rebalance the game by having harder fights end game than avatar pressure. IMO

Now that Facility Leads are multi-spawns you can end up with two or three per month. Since that's the case it almost obviates having to make contact with other regions at all (aside from the matter of resources). On Legendary, without significant modding to change things, I was well into the midgame with only one other region contacted and doing well, which doesn't seem like it should be the case.

I opened the mod in Modbuddy and set both Facility Lead and Sabotage covert actions to Unique without multiples and it seems like a better balance point now.

I've never understood why the AVATAR project was such a dud as a mechanic. So many "tough" choices are easy and obvious, and you get so many outs. Thanks for this, if I ever bother with WotC. :)

Yeah, what JM001 said. In my last WotC campaign I got the doom counter down to zero and completely lacked any pressure to complete the campaign. Going to try things with this one. Thanks, RealityMachina.

Alright tthat is what I thought. I like it, makes it so you actually have to do facilities now if you want to keep the project in check.

You can do it once per faction: it can spawn again if you choose to forgo your first or second or third (etc etc) chance at doing it with the Reapers or the Templars or whatever, but once you do it, you can't get it again from that faction.

Hmmm interesting. I kind of like this actually. Can't spam sabotage as a get out of jail free card. Now by once per faction you mean you get it once on that faction and then you can no longer get it for that faction right?
