@Shinobi You know, I never tested it with large grids. I'll have to get back to you on that. Sorry about the oversight.
Shinobi 26 Sep, 2021 @ 5:41am
So I'm trying to get this to work with a large grid Assault Rover, but no matter what blocks I use for the "Cockpit" it still throws I'm not in one. Is this only for small grids?

@aveBrian Awesome, thanks so much, man! I will update right away! Cheers!

@fluffybobcat24 There is now a value at the bottom of the scripts description that you can set to "false" that will disable the light management function of the script while preserving all of the other functionality. Let me know if you have trouble and enjoy :)
User5876 30 Jul, 2021 @ 3:55pm
Is there any way to disable script control of lights on my rover? I would like to turn that functionality off without turning off the whole script.
aveBrian  [author] 6 Jan, 2021 @ 1:39am
@erichouse02 No, it doesn't. Implementing wheel turning via a script is actually rather challenging. I'll be trying a few things with this script and a few others, so I'll probably be addressing the very feature you're asking about. Sorry, I can't give any kind of estimate on when that'll be though :/
ILickToes 5 Jan, 2021 @ 9:11pm
Does this mod support trailer wheel turning ?
Asher 28 Jun, 2020 @ 12:59pm
Hey does this still work?
Asher 15 Apr, 2019 @ 2:24pm
well tbh @aveBrian I don't think it is your script I think it is a mod conflict as the script works fine on a normal world with no mods, and again this game is still full of random bugs so ya know might be that to. thank you for wanting to get this resolved once I got time myself I will try it with each mod and let you know what I find if anything. Also I should note this was on a server so maybe that is the problem? anyways thanks again :)

@Wolf
Can you perhaps share the world or vehicle you’re having the problem with on the workshop? I’d love to try to debug this. Someone else had a similar problem and I never found out what the problem was. It would be so helpful :)
Asher 14 Apr, 2019 @ 3:30am
I did but ultimately it is not your fault man the wheel system is still buggy as hell it seems.
aveBrian  [author] 13 Apr, 2019 @ 8:22am
@Wolf
What happens when you press the brake key? Do you have at least one spotlight on the tractor? You will also need a remote control block on the trailer for parking brakes to work on the trailer as well.
Mr. Mundane 13 Apr, 2019 @ 7:50am
That is fine. I just thought i would say it
aveBrian  [author] 13 Apr, 2019 @ 7:37am
@Professionel Potato
At present, this script doesn't support the function of trailer wheels steering. It is something I should really add though. Sorry about that...
Asher 9 Apr, 2019 @ 9:34pm
when I set the name of my back lights to brake I cannot turn my lights on at all they switch to off right after I turn them on and pressing the park button does nothing am I doing something wrong?
Mr. Mundane 8 Apr, 2019 @ 3:57am
I mean steering. I cant seem to get it to work with the trailer. Although i can get them to spin/drive
aveBrian  [author] 7 Apr, 2019 @ 4:43pm
@Professionel Potato

When you say "turning", do you mean steering or spinning? If it's trying to get them to spin the right direction, it can be a little trial and error. If a wheel on the trailer is spinning the wrong direction, invert them on the wheel settings. If you provide me with more details, I might be able to help more. I still haven't gone through all my scripts after the update so you might be right about something being broken.

Sorry for the trouble, I'm always trying to get these damn things to be easier to use. Thanks for the feedback.

@Splitsie Happy to help. Let me know if there's anything else I can do.
As always, I'm looking forward to the next episode :)
Splitsie 24 Jul, 2018 @ 7:18pm
Oh, that might be it. I'd misunderstood and had the name in both the lights on the trailer and the lights on the tractor. I'm really hoping to set this one up for the new salvage trailer I'm building so I'll give it another try once I get back off night shift :)

Also, absolutely no need to apologise :)
aveBrian  [author] 24 Jul, 2018 @ 3:36pm
@Splitsie Sorry for the inconvenience :(
aveBrian  [author] 24 Jul, 2018 @ 4:21am
@Splitsie Well I've downloaded the Goose from the workshop and got the script working just fine on it. I did notice that the instructions were pretty clunky so I've retyped them to make it easier to understand.

Are you typing a "tag" in the Custom Data of the Programmable block?

Are you including this tag in the name of spotlights and thrusters ONLY attatched to the tractor?
aveBrian  [author] 24 Jul, 2018 @ 2:33am
@Splitsie I'm willing to bet something may have gotten changed with the latest update of the game. I'll Check it out right now.
Splitsie 23 Jul, 2018 @ 8:29pm
Today I was adding a couple of scripts to the Goose and I think I've done something wrong in the setup that I can't work out. I had the script on the tractor, a remote on the trailer and was able to get the brake lights to work but couldn't get the thruster control or the light control to work. In fact once the script was active I couldn't turn on my lights at all :/

Did something change in the recent update that's altered the behaviour or did I miss something? (both are probably about equally likely) :P
CTH2004 29 Apr, 2018 @ 6:29pm
Ok, fair enough! (Good thing I subed to bothe...)
aveBrian  [author] 27 Apr, 2018 @ 12:32pm
@CTH2004 I'm not sure which one I will keep. If I can get this one working the way I want it to, this will be the one that stays and the other will become obsolete.
CTH2004 26 Apr, 2018 @ 5:12pm
Thanks, so, eventually, this one will be absolete? (or the other one?)
aveBrian  [author] 25 Apr, 2018 @ 8:10pm
No, they're both standalone scripts. The thruster one is still in development so I decided to keep them separate in the meantime.
CTH2004 25 Apr, 2018 @ 6:01pm
Does it Need your other trailer script?

You know, This one?
