Since it keeps players max level cap at 100.
Thanks for that design @ Lepo (author) !
just confirm
than you
i havent tried yet, but do all 3 Torchfun mod works well together? will they bug?
I will soon start playing again and since i dont like the fact that you need to beat the game 5 times to get to NG5, your mod will certainly be THE MOD for me
With you permission, i'll try and merge all 3 if you dont plan on doing it. Maybe there is a reason why you havent done it already.
Let me know... thank you
if by "links"- you mean affect character experience gain- then yes- it's boosted greatly- if you mean bind- as in hard to remove mod from use then no.
As someone who uses this mod very much; I can say it does not bind (it does boost exp gain) to the character- it only changes the level numbers and does not actually bind to dungeons either- meaning it can be removed with little difficulty .^_^.
And yes- it does affect all vanilla dungeons and vanilla mapwork dungeons and that also includes mods that edit the landscape of said dungeons (like Blank's Landmarks)- it does not however affect stuff that adds new mapworks dungeons- unless added dungeons use the vanilla graph- in which case- this mod will affect them too... hope that helps.
I'm not sure if i can help, my mod works fine. Can you explain what exactly happens when you launch the game? Are you running this mod alone? Is crashing before main menù?
Have fun!
FED - Fish's effects description
The reason for this Part is exactly to achieve what you have experienced. A revitalizing way to make vanilla more replayable without distort so much the original gameplay, unlike synergies does.
By the way, i'm actually working on a complete version of Torchfun which contains Part02 and Part03 also, which it's hidden now because while working on complete version i found many bugs in it. I'm also adding a lot of new interesting things and recipes but without making an extreme overhaul like synergies does. Since i have started modding, my purpose it's to make vanilla better, not to change it.
I hope to release the complete version in a week or two. Hope you will like it.
I tried both Synergies and this, and I do tend to like this mod better because it is better paced, not as heavy-clogged with mobs and more enjoyable and genuinely challenging.
I'm aware that it cannot be compared to Synergies since they have almost completely opposite mentality as to how the game should be played and they both excell at how they want the game to be. However, I don't know why this is not rated and in the most popular mods by now... It's just that awesome.
I'm actually working on Part03 and other stuff for Part02, hope you like it!
This is the reason why i'm splitting my mod into parts, because i want to give people the freedom to choose what to install, instead of a mandatory all-in-one mod like synergies.
If Synergies does changes to mapworks and NG+ starting levels my mod will be incompatible.
I hope to fix that in the next 24 hours.
I think that the "Diablo recipe" where we have to repeat act over and over and "Wow recipe" where levelling part may take more time that end-game one, are something that we have to leave in the past.
Indeed you really catch the purpose of this mod.
Faster levelling (with balanced world, not like useless and imbalanced mod that increase only Xp gained) provides the freedom to try different classes and builds in a very fast and entertaining way, and better rewarding maps gives to players a reason and a reward to the end-game grinding part.
I hope that you will enjoy also future parts :).
I like actually leveling at a decent pace, so I can actually get to try out the interesting advanced tiers of my skills and such. With Torchlight 2's default leveling, I think I would've quit before I got that point.
I really appreciate all incoming feedback for the new changes!
@slacker: sure, i'm actually working on mapworks changes, after that this part should be considered finished, but it's already fully playable ;).
@IL_Giudice (author), have you ever played with LurkerBalance? I'm going to play this mod, feel out the difficulty and possibly stack it with LurkerBalance if it works (don't see why it wouldn't).
