In theory: This should work for Multiplayer.

Since it keeps players max level cap at 100.

Thanks for that design @ Lepo (author) !

Hello, the overhaul covers all the parts plus A LOT MORE stuff. Feel free to use all of my mods for modpack of whatever you want ;)
Kebbek 18. juni 2016 kl. 10:54
actually, after reading the changes note, i think that overhaul include all your mods?

just confirm

than you
Kebbek 18. juni 2016 kl. 9:23
@lepo

i havent tried yet, but do all 3 Torchfun mod works well together? will they bug?

I will soon start playing again and since i dont like the fact that you need to beat the game 5 times to get to NG5, your mod will certainly be THE MOD for me

With you permission, i'll try and merge all 3 if you dont plan on doing it. Maybe there is a reason why you havent done it already.

Let me know... thank you

@*Yuki*:

if by "links"- you mean affect character experience gain- then yes- it's boosted greatly- if you mean bind- as in hard to remove mod from use then no.

As someone who uses this mod very much; I can say it does not bind (it does boost exp gain) to the character- it only changes the level numbers and does not actually bind to dungeons either- meaning it can be removed with little difficulty .^_^.

And yes- it does affect all vanilla dungeons and vanilla mapwork dungeons and that also includes mods that edit the landscape of said dungeons (like Blank's Landmarks)- it does not however affect stuff that adds new mapworks dungeons- unless added dungeons use the vanilla graph- in which case- this mod will affect them too... hope that helps.
*Yuki* 18. feb. 2016 kl. 17:42
is it links to character? Is it works with blanks landmarks and similar mods?
Lepo  [ophavsmand] 23. nov. 2015 kl. 8:01
Thank you, glad that you still enjoy and play TL2 with my mod! Have fun!
steffire3 23. nov. 2015 kl. 8:00
I just want to say this mod of yours is one of my favorites in Torchlight_2- more than any other level-difficulty mod for it's small yet big changes.
zootji 8. jan. 2015 kl. 1:02
@Giudice. oh, didnt even know MF and GF increased with NG+ in vanilla! thanks for the response!
Lepo  [ophavsmand] 7. jan. 2015 kl. 3:06
MF and GF for NG+ are the same as vanilla.
zootji 4. jan. 2015 kl. 0:42
not sure if u still check this Giudice, but i have a quick question. Does playing in higher NG+ have more Magic Find and Gold Find, like playing in higher level mapworks? So, does playin in NG+5 have the same MF and GF as the 250-250 mapworks?

Sorry for late answer.
I'm not sure if i can help, my mod works fine. Can you explain what exactly happens when you launch the game? Are you running this mod alone? Is crashing before main menù?
lisavh 27. maj 2013 kl. 0:17
Also I am having surgery on Wed. of this week and if you coold help me get it fixed so I could have something to do while I am out of commission I would really appreciate it. I will go stir crazy without my Torrchlight fix.
lisavh 27. maj 2013 kl. 0:15
Hi I tried to run your mod and it has glitched up my ability to mod when I added it to my list do you think you can help me? I am so bored I am so used to playing with mods that playing vanilla for the last 5-6 hours is really driving me insane and I have tried everything I know to do to fix it (which is not much since I am not very good with these things) and nothing I have tried is not working. I really want to try your mod if you will tell me what I did wrong and how to fix it I will most definitely will try again thank you.
Lepo  [ophavsmand] 23. maj 2013 kl. 2:02
Directly from my Torchfun mods, an acclaimed feature finally as stand-alone: no class requirements on items .

Have fun!

Torchfun Ultimate is out!
Lepo  [ophavsmand] 21. apr. 2013 kl. 3:58
@MathiasXII: thank you very much. I really appreciate your feedback.
The reason for this Part is exactly to achieve what you have experienced. A revitalizing way to make vanilla more replayable without distort so much the original gameplay, unlike synergies does.

By the way, i'm actually working on a complete version of Torchfun which contains Part02 and Part03 also, which it's hidden now because while working on complete version i found many bugs in it. I'm also adding a lot of new interesting things and recipes but without making an extreme overhaul like synergies does. Since i have started modding, my purpose it's to make vanilla better, not to change it.
I hope to release the complete version in a week or two. Hope you will like it.
MathiasXII 20. apr. 2013 kl. 16:13
Seriously, since the existence of this mod, it revitalized all the fun of Vanilla Torchlight to full extent. I cannot play WITHOUT it now, it would make no sense! I thank you very much for this gem.

I tried both Synergies and this, and I do tend to like this mod better because it is better paced, not as heavy-clogged with mobs and more enjoyable and genuinely challenging.

I'm aware that it cannot be compared to Synergies since they have almost completely opposite mentality as to how the game should be played and they both excell at how they want the game to be. However, I don't know why this is not rated and in the most popular mods by now... It's just that awesome.
Lepo  [ophavsmand] 18. apr. 2013 kl. 7:14
Part03 is out!
Lepo  [ophavsmand] 18. apr. 2013 kl. 2:06
@burd: i have adjust manually every single zones to change monsters' levels ;).
I'm actually working on Part03 and other stuff for Part02, hope you like it!
boatshowvisitor 14. apr. 2013 kl. 4:55
cool stuff! Looking forward to Part 03
Lepo  [ophavsmand] 13. apr. 2013 kl. 17:06
Good news! After some work to polish Part 01 and Part 02, i have started Part 03! This Part will feature tons of new uniques and legendaries, and very exciting stuff for end-game!
Lepo  [ophavsmand] 13. apr. 2013 kl. 16:53
Due to a mistake there was a change to champions monsters' health. I have deleted those files, now monsters' health is at default again.
Lepo  [ophavsmand] 13. apr. 2013 kl. 15:52
Doubled enchants cost, now beat harder difficulties means something. I'm considering also a little nerf about gold drop, to make mods a little bit more challenging.
Lepo  [ophavsmand] 13. apr. 2013 kl. 15:37
@Hanz Ketchup: Synergies is a big overhaul and it could be incompatible with a lot of mods out there.
This is the reason why i'm splitting my mod into parts, because i want to give people the freedom to choose what to install, instead of a mandatory all-in-one mod like synergies.

If Synergies does changes to mapworks and NG+ starting levels my mod will be incompatible.
Hanz Ketchup 13. apr. 2013 kl. 12:40
Is this compatible with Synergies? If so, where do I have to place Torchfun in relation to it in the load order?
Lepo  [ophavsmand] 13. apr. 2013 kl. 8:25
Big news for Torchfun Part 02, now ALL ranked gems can be upgraded!
Lepo  [ophavsmand] 10. apr. 2013 kl. 9:42
Done. Everything works great now :).
Lepo  [ophavsmand] 10. apr. 2013 kl. 7:15
I have found some errors in mapworks' maps. Nothing really bad, sometimes affixes are missed and certain maps have a range in description different from real monsters levels.
I hope to fix that in the next 24 hours.
Lepo  [ophavsmand] 10. apr. 2013 kl. 3:43
@Kaja Rainbow: thank you very much for your feedback.
I think that the "Diablo recipe" where we have to repeat act over and over and "Wow recipe" where levelling part may take more time that end-game one, are something that we have to leave in the past.
Indeed you really catch the purpose of this mod.
Faster levelling (with balanced world, not like useless and imbalanced mod that increase only Xp gained) provides the freedom to try different classes and builds in a very fast and entertaining way, and better rewarding maps gives to players a reason and a reward to the end-game grinding part.
I hope that you will enjoy also future parts :).
Kaja Rainbow 10. apr. 2013 kl. 3:00
I've been trying both this and Synergies. The latter does some fun things, but overall I think I prefer this mod. It feels like I'm being kept on my toes without falling back on inflated HP and excessive numbers of monsters including boss-level ones. Also, thank you for compartmentalizing this like you're doing.

I like actually leveling at a decent pace, so I can actually get to try out the interesting advanced tiers of my skills and such. With Torchlight 2's default leveling, I think I would've quit before I got that point.
Morgulin 9. apr. 2013 kl. 11:21
sounds interessting.
Lepo  [ophavsmand] 9. apr. 2013 kl. 5:19
Mapworks's maps are finished now. Also gold drop has changed to be more rewarding.
I really appreciate all incoming feedback for the new changes!
Lepo  [ophavsmand] 9. apr. 2013 kl. 3:00
@svenski: I think lurker balance should work with my mod ;). By the way, i have planned a Part of this mod that will increase monsters's life :).

@slacker: sure, i'm actually working on mapworks changes, after that this part should be considered finished, but it's already fully playable ;).
traidor (ze/zion) 8. apr. 2013 kl. 16:54
Looks like a promising rebalance, hope you finish it. :)
Svenge_[dotabased.com] 8. apr. 2013 kl. 16:23
I really like where you're going with this mod. Gonna have to give it a try... I'm looking for a good sustainable difficulty overhaul in TL2 and this sounds like an awesome way of doing it. I didn't really like the way they squeeze more gameplay in by letting you play through again, forcing you to abandon the low level zones of the past to move up into NG+. This ought to take care of that!!

@IL_Giudice (author), have you ever played with LurkerBalance? I'm going to play this mod, feel out the difficulty and possibly stack it with LurkerBalance if it works (don't see why it wouldn't).
Lepo  [ophavsmand] 7. apr. 2013 kl. 15:34
Litte big update in the meanwhile. Maps for mapworks are now rescaled! From 95-105 range to 200-220! A future update will change their affixes in order to give big rewards when you defeat difficult maps ;).
Lepo  [ophavsmand] 7. apr. 2013 kl. 15:31
I think Synergies must be played with Synergies alone. It's a big mod and it could be incompatible with every mod out there.
forsaken 7. apr. 2013 kl. 6:49
Is this mod stacks with Synergies, just askin.
tsuelue 6. apr. 2013 kl. 21:03
Synergies kind of force feeds you a lot of stuff that you might not like, since Salan incorporated a lot of other mods into it. One of the main reasons I stopped playing it.
MathiasXII 6. apr. 2013 kl. 20:07
Okay... seriously, this and Epoch's Ninja class in Vanilla is pure awesomeness ! I was scared at first it was going to be one of "those" mod that you go through a playthrough quickly with easy monsters and it's all over and you quit game more bored than you were before, HELL NO! I got through act 1 and I was nervous as hell! As I could cut through monsters easily with skills that quickly escalate in efficiency, I could rarely survive as few as three blows from any normal enemy, even with a good armor! This mod is EXTREMELY difficult and I LIKE IT! :D It's like it finally puts the emphasis on the word Action of the Action RPG genre!
