The reason the previous icon looked the way it did was so the player could see it more easily. The one from your mod, while it looks way nicer, it is very easy to miss. I believe a mix between the two would be best: your icon but with brightness behind it, as if it was emmenanting light.

It also looks more fitting with the rest of the UI, rather than sticking out (for me personally at least) with its mobile game-like yellow design.
