And to update it, do it through a manual installation, and correct any directories if they've been changed. Not that hard.
If you want to continue using it, please do.
But, if you want basically the same functionality, and some more, please try my "Tolstoy Engine" mod instead - which is the mod I am now using myself to manage peace deals.

main changes:
- Tried to ensure that it doesn't stop the war in China.
- Captured States no longer Core.
oh, and one thing. A crash made me lose all files, so had to recover an old backup and fix from there - have tried to verify that everything works again, but there might be stuff missing still....
thats totally what i would pick
However, the fact that it "should" work is of course no guarantee that it actually will... But at least, I can't see any other direct risks except for the number of states.
