PRO: Zooming out to 1.5 or 1.8x is very, very pretty. Makes the game feel much more like other ARPG games.

CON: There's something not quite right, I don't know if it's my system, but I don't think the aggro ranges for monsters work at this scale

Is there any way you can apply this to an ultra or super ultra widescreen? Like I don't need the zoom but I do need the monster draw distance and agro range reduction

Hi, I'm looking for a way to change draw distance for enemies/objects without changing the camera zoom level. Could you explain to me how you edited the value in GUTS to do this?

I have a mod called 'DrawDistance' but it's hard to tell if it is working or not. Either way I'd like to know how to edit draw distance manually for future reference. Thanks!

Thanks for this game changing mod!

Not only does it remove the annoying monsters pop in/pop out but it also make the game much more dynamic.
It seems to work just fine with the latest version of the game even thought it state "Compiled for an outdated ver."

guess im the only one having this issue, I am still able to "snipe" monsters. The aggro range seems to be a little too small.

For all you people having problems, try having it first in the load order, works fine for me that way. The only issue you may experience is that if you have Better Blood Effects installed, the blood decals stand out against the distance fog.

Is it possible to make this mod work with a game I created BEFORE installing the mod? When I load the game with mods active, the only option I get is to start a new game.

this mod works fine, there is no update needed. If this camera mod doesn't work for you - try to disable other installed mods.

With this mod mobs come running towards me from well beyond the border of the screen and from all directions but the path I just cleared. Even when zoomed all the way out I can't tell where they're even coming from. I get kinda swarmed by way more than you'd usually pull. Aren't you supposed to pull stuff from the edge of the screen only when you actually attack stuff that's near them? I seem to pull the whole area by just being there, not posing a threat to them at all.

The normal zoom level is kinda ridiculous too, as my bottom bar often gets in the way when in a dungeon on a path from north to south. Shooting south is near impossible, I have to get way closer than comfortable when playing with my melee friends.

Not sure which option I prefer yet..

I found it absolutely rediculous that enemy's could cast and fire at you while offscreen. This excellent mod levels the playing field, so to speak. With a clear view of the entire area its alot easier to make strategic movement. With classes such as the embermage this is a must. It effectively negates the bad angles on certain sides of the screen where view distance was limited. Please compile for the latest patch so my mod list doesn't nag at me for being outdated.

it's realy annoying that I can't play with others since the release of GUTS because a simple camera mod,while for more than a 100 hours I haven't got a single issue joining and playing multiplayer games with a similiar mod before the release of GUTS

And they can attack you sooner, too! Fair's fair. I'd say it makes it easier in the sense that it improves usability and helps you be more tactical, but it's hardly game breaking.

Isn't this mod making the game alot easier? As it leads to enemies, which can be attacked much sooner as intended. How lame.

@Neversober: the mod works in most areas for me... you may try putting it at the bottom of your load order (that's where mine is). As I stated in my last comment, the only real problems I've found is that the mod isn't active in certain areas (so far, just Siege Guardian and Bloatfang boss fights), and the ceiling obstructs my entire field of view in a few small areas of Emberscratch mines... You might want to scroll back on your mousewheel to ensure you're zoomed out all the way. Hope you get it working!

Excellent mod--made the game so much easier on the eyes... I did notice two things that are the only issues I've run into thus far:

1. In Emberscratch Mines (in the Frosted Hills), the ceiling is low enough that it completely obliterates the field of view in a couple spots.
2. While fighting the Siege Guardian, the field of view reverts to default settings.

First mod I switched to under GUTS; it replaced two other mods and did a much better job. It has a permanent spot on my mod launcher. Thanks for broadening our horizons.

Fantastic mod for the ranged classes. If I would asked for anything to be changed it would be the zooming in with the mouse wheel going straight in as opposed to the "swooping" camera motion. Great mod!

Nope, monsters usually don't aggro if you hit them from far enough away. It's mostly your pet that draws aggro from far-away enemies.
