The wooden rail is the "cheaper" one (though because of how time consuming wood is maybe not for some). Because of this it has higher friction and the bogies slow down much slower on it.

The rails do not degrade.

Wooden rails have 4x the friction.

what are the benifits of having steal over wood rail in the modpack?
