Cool mod, def useful, but there is an issue with mouse roll over. When putting your mouse over one of the pet equipment pieces of the same equipment type, such as rings, the comparing equipment item windows are not aligned correctly.

@Nutero
Yeah, have at it. I don't mind if anyone uses this.

i also like to add your nice coding to my inventory layout mod. i want to add a 4th 50 slot page for gems to the player and pet inventory. i don't think a char can hold hundreds of items, so i just gonna add a new bag for gems.. okay with you?

The Pet and Fishing Overhaul mod has been updated and now includes the features from this mod. Thank you very much for you work Deadie! You have been credited.

Thanks for letting me know that! I'm going to try the MOD and see if I like it.

I like BAGMOD, too, so I had the same problem. You can still get to the other pages of the pet's inventory if you open your stash or shared stash, though.

I started the process of merging these in guts, but the xml files are pretty darn long and it's easy to miss one piece that makes the whole darn thing unusable.
Deadie  [author] 16 Apr, 2013 @ 11:00am
@moranacus004
No, they are going to conflict because both mods alter the pet_inventory.layout file to their own ends. Not without manually merging the mods piece by piece in guts could they work together.
moranacus004 16 Apr, 2013 @ 1:30am
Is there a way to fix this so that it works with the BAGMOD (larger stash MOD)?
If you use this MOD your pet no longer has the 5 pages in their stash.

looks neat!

Thank you! I'll be sure and let you know when it's been updated.

@VooduRaj
Go right ahead and use it, it should be pretty easy to incorporate.

I really like the idea behind your mod as well. I'll give it a look.
Voodu 13 Apr, 2013 @ 1:57pm
@Deadie - I would like to include the features in this mod in my Pet and Fishing Overhaul mod found here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=138640092

Please let me know if I can do so. I'll be happy to credit you for your work. :)

I remember in TorchLight 1 you could have your pet wear an amulet and two rings.
I also remember that some rings designed for pets found in TL1 were even called bracelets, suggesting pets wore these rings on their limbs.
Indeed, it makes perfect sense that pets in TL2 wear rings and amulets. This mod adds a common feature back.

Hey Deadie, it appears Xev's trying to make his mod compatible with all pet inventory mods, which would include yours, I assume:

Xev: """""Sorry, I haven't gotten on earlier. My internet has and is acting weird. I was fortunate that I could get this previous update out. Since there are so many items I'm not going to respond individually, but I will be looking into everything you guys have mentioned.

I will be downloading all the inventory mods mentioned as soon as I can and try to get the pet inventory system up and working for EVERYONE. Right now I based mine off lyravega's bigger inventory."""""

Sad to hear you're going to leave it be Deadie. I really like this mod and would like to see more of it. I respect your decision to stop developing it, but this has been a very interesting mod for me. You'll have my support either way.
Deadie  [author] 11 Apr, 2013 @ 12:24pm
Yeah it really brings to light compatability issues TL2 mods are going to have. Looking into it more and it seems Xev made the changes he did to comply with a particular stash mod.

The situation is bothersome because I was going to upload a release that allows pet collars and tags to be socketed and enchanted, but with the amount of file changes that took it would be almost guaranteed to break compatability with many more mods making the whole thing kind of pointless.

At this point I'm going to leave it be and give my blessing to allow other mod authors who might want to incorporate Pet Equipment into their own works to do so if they wish.
Clintonius 11 Apr, 2013 @ 10:50am
Ah. That makes since. I figured it had to do with Xev's Pets because your mod works fine with other pet mods I've tried. It is regretful that I would have to choose between a plethora of awesome new pets and your mod. I hope the problems can be resolved considering that it makes alot of sense to be able to attach magic rings and trinkets to your pet's collar.
Deadie  [author] 11 Apr, 2013 @ 9:58am
Well, I don't know what to say. After quickly playing and looking over Xev's mod in guts, it is plain to see that his mod does not alter the same files as my own. What IS the case is that in Xev's mod he has created multiple new pet inventories that override the default one leading me to believe that his mod would conflict with just about any mod that alters pet inventories without referencing his new ones.
Deadie  [author] 11 Apr, 2013 @ 8:47am
@Mailmann
I've been glancing through the comments over at Xev's Pets and it appears a number of people are in fact having issues with their pet inventories very similar to what you are discribing, but it appears to be regulated to that mod alone and not a conflict with mine. I will personally check it out later and see what is going on.

For the record, my mod alters only the pet_inventory.layout and the petbody.dat container.
Clintonius 10 Apr, 2013 @ 12:03pm
This is really a great mod. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work with the Xev's Pets mod. You will lose access to items placed in your pet's inventory regardless of the load order. The item is still there, it's just that you can't see it and all you can do with it once it's there is have your pet sell it. Hopefully this can be resolved in the future.

The only other complaint I have about the mod is the placement of the secondary equipment slots. Your pet's portrait gets partially covered if you have a tall pet. Otherwise, this is a great mod.

For those that use Xav's pets and/or Synergies, you may have to put "Pet Equipment" on the top of your mod list for it to load properly. I have no idea if it breaks anything from Xav or Synergies. I'll post a comment here if I find anything. Seems to work fine so far :)
