and crusty fan of AD&D (such as myself) would rather have a portable hole then all the
other stuff.
By now D's over-weight had reached over 5400 jarls. Finally, I set D on 3rd person and ran "showinventory". He had over 150 items and he was down to nothing in inventory. There were however several hundred invisible Tornberry, Sapphire and other goodies that, when "removeitem"ed, cut D down to just 89 jarls "tare" weight. There are a bunch of "bad edit" lines and a few unnamed RefID codes left I am reluctant to remove, but D can handle 89 j's.
Thanks again for your help.
I have, just now, emptied everything my player was carrying, excepting quest items, into a chest, while still having well over 10,000 "jarls" of loot in my portable hole. Quest items do appear to be weightless while flagged as quest items, as my current player burden is 0/300.
I cannot duplicate your problem, but I do know, from experience in Oblivion and Fallout 3, that if you have an item affecting carry weight that is provided by a mod, and disable the mod while that item is still equipped, it can add phantom weight to the inventory
You might try emptying your inventory and using the console command "player.modav carryweight 0" to reset your empty weight to 0.
@Rogstin I have no idea why Whiterun in particular would be affected, I have not modified that worldspace at all. The basement room of Helgen Keep is the only place I have added objects to the world.
A must-have mod simply.
If I could add a little tiny wish, it would to have some kind of sorting of the items in the hole, like in the inventory. Just don't know if it conflicts with the whole idea of having all your stuff thrown into at great big hole...
For those of you still too lazy to just fast travel there... the command is as follows
help "portable hole" 4
If you type it exactely like that it'll work. Something is wrong with your console if it doesn't.
