It's literally a cockpit.. there is no reason it should ever stop working. Also nobody reported anything bad.

Yeah that's what I've been doing it simply blocks control. I'll start removing mods and seeing If I can figure out what's going on and report back when I find something.

Test with a vanilla cockpit, behavior should be the same. I'm using no scripts or any funny stuff here, game should think it's the same as any other. The best way I know of to prevent this is check "main cockpit" on the one you want to control the ship with.

So no matter what I do with this it always takes control of the ship. Even if I take away all it's permissions, if someone gets in it, they are in control of flying the ship. This is the only Cockpit Mod I'm using. Anyone else having a similar issue?

That would be cool but i don't want to complicate this old mod. Currently there's no scripts or anything, extremely future-proof.

Whats the chances of getting a version of this using the Animation Engine? Would be real cool to have the canopy on this animated to open/close along with the animated fighter cockpit

Can I include mod in the build for the server? In the description I will indicate a link to the original source. For some reason, the cockpit is located (all blocks) together with the armor blocks - can you move it to the "cockpits"?

under the hood this is the same as any vanilla cockpit, i suspect the other mods

I'm not sure if my 136 mods have a conflict but running AI enabled and crew enabled whenever I jumped into a fighter cockpit only the fighter cockpits (both the modded One and vanilla) from what I can tell it always open up the inventory of my helper robots every second and reading this comment section I'm assuming and ai enabled / crew enabled is the one with the messy code

that was a script, there's a few to choose from just pick one out and follow the script instructions to set up which screen it goes on.

Also, this is a simple cockpit block with no scripts or anything. It is _highly unlikely_ that this mod is at fault.

I tried your mod again, I think it may be conflicting with another mod or there is another issue. I found it impossible to place against any other block and in general it seems to mess with all other cockpits for some reason. Once removed I did not have this issue. Again, could be a conflict with another mod. But you know your mod better then I do, so could you help me out with this please?

I was wondering if we could have permission to incorporate this into our own modpack (Im a admin on the sigma draconis cluster) We would need to reupload due to component edits and a few re-balances.

Would it be very difficult to make an alternate version of this where the pilot is seated facing 'up'? Basically so you could use it for a mech or 'starfury' style fighter?

What about a cockpit that kind of looks like a backwards vanilla fighter cockpit? So you could have cockpits shaped more like real life fighter jet cockpits.

It’s a cockpit, using vanilla cockpit logic. Unless Keen breaks cockpits it should work fine.
