I can use the Slipjoint in place of the Kukri Blade and the Drill Pup Augur [Update A9.1], but I think there might be issues with the Drill Pup Augur in A9.7.1

So all the ships in the Early Survival series won't work in Alpha 9?

I would use the Slipjoint that was built for Alpha 9

Hi Xcaliber, your Early Survival ships are awesome, but I wanted to confirm that will will work in Alpha 9.5.
XCaliber  [author] 28 May, 2019 @ 3:53pm
awesome!

Decided to forgo the constructor and replace the cargo box with one of the new modular cargo systems in the same spot. Works surprisingly well.

That’s awesome thanks!

This SV has become my go-to early game scout vessel. Quick yet economical to operate. Toughen the nose, add rocket launchers and it still has enough thrust to defend itself admirably. Well done!

That’s awesome Mentor! You’re gonna love the Karambit then :)

For something that's supposed to be a "last ditch", this thing is surprisingly cost effective. I started using it as a little moon-hopper, but I've taken Kadera's advice and with a couple of rocket launchers, some cautious tactics and the occasional hardened steel nose repair, I've been able to take on POIs with success. Eventually, I intend to get a Karambit, but this thing has been worth its weight in gold.

Great ship. Looks good and easy to build and use. 👍

Thanks Kadera! It's great to hear that its worked well for you

Very nice ship, handles well, and it's also upgrade-friendly. Used a bunch of salvaged hardened steel plates from the Titan to armor up the entire front end. It's also not that difficult to retrofit a couple of rocket launchers stacked in the space between the gatlings.

I liked the fact you pulled the Constructor, but left the space available, so that folks with no cobalt can get a jump on building the SV. (But yeah, I also make mods in Creative to nearly every Workshop item I've subscribed to.)

Glad it's useful! Enjoy scroogestime

I needed something just like this! Thankyou so much!

Awesome glad you like it Nazt! Exactly my intent

Nice, tyvm. With the world size being so big, it's good to have an armed SV early to scoot about, and go off planet if needed to get the other ores.

Went ahead and removed Constructor Eliminating Cobalt lol. Just makes sense. Thanks NazT!
XCaliber  [author] 7 May, 2018 @ 9:17pm
I may remove it from main bp though
XCaliber  [author] 7 May, 2018 @ 9:17pm
I've been debating taking the constructor off of this to remove cobalt. If you remove the Constructor in a creative game and resave Bp youll be good to go
Maerkuz 7 May, 2018 @ 8:59pm
If only there was a version without Cobalt. I love the work, but in A8 I've always played random-gen just because I wanted something different from Akua. Only problem is all the random-gen starts I've tried have no Cobalt on the planet, and have to be lucky to loot some, or get enough credits somehow to buy from NPC's.

Any suggestions for an alternative?

Thanks Neuticles! Had to release something we could get to the moon without sathium!
