It would have to change the textures. But I ain't willing to do so
(If you can`t that's fine).
Unfortunately I don't rip them out from the source. I download them from people who have already ripped them from the game. I rip them from XNALARA.
Talk to a guy called rolance fom deviantart. If he's willing to help you, he might tell you how to rip it from Tekken. I would have but I'm scared of him.
Probably not. Sorry to disappoint.
I don't think it's possible too since he is a pretty complex model.
Maybe. He is kinda cool but I'm kinda scared to port him. Also it's difficult to get one from XNA
geez steam, add an edit button
You know? It's always embarrassing when I misunderstood your comment.
Well, I'll go one with the popular one by shreis. I got Blender, Xnalara, Garry's Mod (obviously), Crowbar, VTF Edit and GCFScape. I previously used VTF EDIT for small texture editing of a playermodel. Had to overwrite it though. Didn't used GCFScape at all.
For Blender, I know the basic stuff such as moving or resizing. I do have to look again, can't remember anything from internship anymore.
As for the model, when I imported it to obj. from Xnalara to Blender, his hair quality is terrible and it covers up the eyes. I do know a plugin for Blender, have to look again.
I can be patient for your tutorial, whether it's the depressing that's keeping you off or anything else, I'll always wait. It's not really bugging me if I don't get any tutorials or helps, after all, it's just a model and not the end of the world.
There are variety of Noctis models (due to different outfits he got) on deviantart but I give you one that's currently popular:
https://shreis.deviantart.com/art/FFXV-Noctis-Lucis-Caelum-Prince-s-Fatigues-729901602
There's also a one ported from Tekken 7: https://egab0.deviantart.com/art/Tekken-7-Noctis-Lucis-Caelum-741441413
By the way, it surprises me that you know these people I mentioned (detreter and Captain Freeman).
Wished we can continue with the conversation but I gotta go to sleep. It's night time for me, probably day time for you. Good night!
Yea I saw that tutorial too. I reached out to him on Steam and he told me that tutorial took him several tries and was supposed to be more thorough than what we got. He was the one who helped me get my first model on the workshop.
I plan to better it and make it into a readable text format so that it's easier to follow.
As for detreter, I have downloaded some stuff from him but I don't think he releases some of them. Looking at Noctis' model in FFXV, he looks a lot easier to handle than some models I've ported.
Can you find a 3d model of him? Like from XNA? I can help you start out on what to do. Of course I'll probably write a tutorial first than pass it on to you (I did a facial animation tutorial once for another guy and still have the file.)
And to be fair, the only model I want imported is Noctis Lucis Caelum from Final Fantasy XV.
Of course, no biggie if you're experienced with Source Engine and Blender but you see, I'm not one of them. I did use Blender on an internship once, then I forgot how I use it after the internship.
After seeing this picture on deviantart "https://detreter.deviantart.com/art/ps4-noctis-gmod-731886175" , I really REALLY want to make one model into GMOD but like I said, the lack of XPS into GMOD tutorials and forgot how I use Blender again make it really difficult. If you ever have the motivation (but probably won't) again, atleast a tutorial would be nice.
Considering I'm a depressed person myself, I know your struggle. I promised people that I'll create a new GMOD video for them but it's been years and I haven't uploaded a single one. I just lack the motivation to do stuff. I hate it when you start something cool, you always have the power and strength but then time passes by and you lose the power and strength bit by bit. After that, you get bored and you stop working on your project.
My only recommendation for me is just take a long hiatus and once you feel cheerful or have the strength to do something again, continue your work.
Speaking of Tutorial, there is someone who made one except most of his download links are broken. Look at here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMSWUn-B5oA
I want to put out a tutorial on how to port your own XNA model to GMOD (and I believe even SFM) but the determination on my part to do so is lacking.
Go ahead and put requests. All I've said is that I may not work on them. But I want to provide people means to do it themselves with the tutorial but my laziness usually prevents it.
Hope that clears any doubts or future questions you might have.
Right now I've uploaded 9 (to be made public soon), the other 6 is ready but my internet's a b*tch (one can't seem to upload no matter how many times, and I can't upload my pics other than the preview to showcase extra features so you are just gonna have to take my word for it) while the others I either don't have a preview pic ready yet or is 18+ which I put on my deviantart page here: https://mesa1995.deviantart.com/
Nice job! Question, but are you going to release the entire Tekken 7 character set on the workshop or the ones you like to release? Because I was wondering if you could release some DLC characters like Eliza, Geese and Noctis.
And I'm pretty sure that was a request. You don't have to accept it though.
