I seem to be having compatibility issues with this mod and any mod that adds in the intercom phone functionality from tfar/ace, it seems to be popping up with an error whenever I ace interact over the stretcher, almost like it thinks it has an intercom, any ideas why/ if this will be updated to work without the intercom

Ok so I just answered my own question :steamfacepalm: _vseat animate ["seat_hide", 1]; hides seat. Next question - is there a scripted command to get unit to climb into the seat (other than something like moveInGunner etc)?

Hello and thanks for this awesome addition. the possibilities with the attachto function are endless. To followup on JetfireBlack's request, would it be possible for me to get permission to release a patch or modification of your script that gives a standing version of the seat with FFV? this works great for horse calvary and ship mods as the ai/player can both shoot and use IMS melee weapons on the seat. I've tested it out on edaly's horses and 1715's ships and it works great as you can shoot and hack at your enemies from a mounted position. The only change I request would be this:

I made a series of videos that has mounted calvary and fighting on the decks of 18th century ships that work great, the only downside for calvary is that you don't control them as vehicles, rather the horses act like ai units and you can order them to various waypoints. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZWBY6ZiNa4&feature=youtu.be

Update, I fixed it by basically removing some config related to dust effects.

Hi vurtual, nice addition to the game, really useful ! It seems the seat is generating a trail of dust when attached to a vehicle driving/flying on dirt. Is this something we can fix on our own ? It is somewhat strange seeing a parachute emit dust when flying 3000 meters above a dirt road ^^'

This mod is excellent, however I am experiencing some difficulty getting my AI units in the car seat position to fire when the seat is attached to a moving vehicle. I am essentially attempting to make a "drive by" and "car chase" type scenario but the AI are not really firing while in motion. Just wondering if anyone has experienced similar and maybe figured out how to solve it. When I play the mission from the car seat position myself the camera is kinda bumpy and it is hard to aim, so is there a way to maybe add a suspension system of sorts to the seat, like a shock absorber?

If you use the virtual garage options you can hide the seat itself.

Great mod! this is goona allow for some pretty creative comps! one question though, would it be at all possable to get a seat without a back like a stool or bench? would make it easier to clip and hide in vehicles to make it look like their just sitting on the top

Hi. Tried it and It's great.
While using it I found a foxhole . Which gave me an idea.
Would it be possible to make a portable foxhole? (backpack or somesort of an item) Kinda like digging a trench , then hop in and start shooting.

You can use attachTo to attach it to basically anything, including people.

I had vehicle-specific code for my HMMWVs initially to allow loading stretchers, but given the issues with it you'll just have to unload from the stretcher and reload the patient into the vehicle.
The stretcher was more of an experiment than anything else, so it's kind of awkward to use.

Is there a way to make stretcher invisible like the seat? I'm trying to add an improvised casualty seat and inability to fit the stretcher without handles clipping through fuselage triggers my OCD ;_;

Is hiding the seat done with a function I could call on the stretcher to have it invisible without hiding the passenger?

There's already an option to make the seat invisible, use the virtual garage and enable the "Hide Seat" option. I didn't do this for the stretchers since they're packable.

@vurtual could you please make a invisible version of the seat and stretcher. This will allow me to for instance add invisible chairs to tanks (attach to) to have players/AI sit on tanks as make shift transporters, WW2 style.
