I've encountered a problem: when I have this mod and one that makes you able to rename units whenever you want this doesn't work.

[Just.nuke.em] I have checked and yes for missionary unit ( ore religious ? ) the bug appear.

So a year ago I made my own version of this mod that dynamically grouped promotions via pattern matching. Seems I forgot to upload it or share my findings. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1561235479

I was also able to make a custom width tooltip with less line spacing to better support large numbers of promotions. Along with adding a terrain modifier to go along with the fortification bonus. Feel free to adopt any of those changes back into this mod.

Nope, it is your mod. I can't comment about the .lua file, but here is what I did today. Uninstalled and deleted all civ files in steam folder and configs and files in my documents. Unsub'ed from all mods. Reinstalled. Sub'ed to this mod. Checked unitPanel.lua, no changes since install. Started game with mod active. Produced religious unit, no spread religion uses shown. Saved game, exited and restarted civ with no mod active. Unit now shows soread religion. Exited, restarted with this mod active, no religion use shown.

Hi, I have compare the unitPanel.lua file of my mod and the latest version with full DLC from CivV ans are the same. My mod add tooltip on unit icon that doesn't exist without mod, so it remove nothing. I think is another mod or i have not understand the problem?

So as much as I love this mod, the current version removes the spread religion uses text from religious units...

No. I can not change style of this window ( like split into 2 columns , change font... add scroll bar ). So i'm stuck on that.

This doesn't handle survivalism or wolfpack. Also the UnitPanel.lua code you are using is old and is missing a bunch of code from the current BNW version.

Is it possible to make the tooltip wider? If you use any of the promotion expansion packs quite often you run out of vertical space to list all the promotions. However, the promotion description text is often lengthy, so if you increased the tooltip width you might be able to fit more in there.

this doesnt seem to play nice with anything that adds new promotions. shame. cause my units tend to have a lot of modifiers at once.

After investigation, 2 mods use entrypoints UI : Barbarians Evolved and Reforestation, don't work with my own savegames ( no mods ).

But with new game ( check with Askia , warrior have 2 initial promotions ) work fine. I suggest you to begin new game with all mods. For me work fine.

Reforestation

Remove Jungle gives productions

Resource - Mint Include Copper

and your description tooltip thingy as well but it just doesn't work lol. It's activated as well.

I have unselect BNW and launch an old savegames GK and working ( i thinking not work with only G&K but work for me ). I have no idea now what not working for you :(

No i have load my cloud save to test quickly. Strange. You must have the 2 expansions G&K and BNW. When you move mouse on icon unit on left bottom panel , what you see in tooltip?

I just did that but I can't find any other mod that I'm using that uses ''UnitPanel.lua''

Do you have to start a new game in order for the mod to work? Cause' I downloaded it after starting a game and it was late-era as well.

This two mods work with mine. You can also search Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS the file UnitPanel.lua to find the another mods have it.

Hey Gilestiel, I'm sure your mod works fine. I think this mod isn't compatible with Diplomacy Vaules (GK) OR Ethnic Units. Thought If you want I could post the names of all the mods I use if you wish. I am very n00bish when it comes to CIV 5 mods.

Hi Rekt'or, I have just verified, that's work for me. I'm in last version of CivV with all DLC on Windows and no other mods installed. If you have another mods. Please check with only mine first. It"s possible that another mods ovverride unitpanel.lua and in this case can't not work.

Normally, i browse all promotions and list all , i just group only basically promitions that i can sum %. So i think it must work. Tell me.

Hi!

I encountered the annoying problem of unreadable promotions (cuz they flow over to the left) when playing a Confederate States mod which does the following: when a unit enters battle for the very first time, it recieves a Confederate general as a promotion. This promotion will be the leftmost in the unit panel. In the early game when units had few promotions, I could hover over this promotion where it said a short information about that general and the effect it has on the unit. But in the late game I couldn't do this because of too many promotions.

My question is: does this mod display even these special promotions which are from another mod or only the promotions which the game basically has?

@Gilestiel: Yes, I think it's a linux specific problem. So i have try to find the solution in those circles. i also tried the workaround by using a case sensitive file system for the mod, as discribed in some linux hints. But did not help, either. Thanks anyway.

@Miguel28 : i have checked with last release of game ( 1.0.3.279 and all DLCs ) in case of and work fine. Perhaps problems with linux version. I don't see what's the problem is, strange if you have checked ingame and continue to not work. Just sure you move cursor on bottom left screen , hover unit type icon ? If sure, i have no idea that not work on your install...

Could you do this with the top infomation panal at the top of the screen? (Including information of extra reasources from other mods) I have been playing with the MSF Civ (Metal Gear Solid) where they add a reasource to the information panel but since I play on a smaller screen I can't see it after I discover stratigic reasources.

I copied the lua into my linux home folder to /.local/share/Aspyr/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/MODS/prom and I can activate the mod in the game. But ingame there is no effect.

Yes. 2 things that can made this behavior.

Like i have previous said, unitpanel.lua have been overriden by another mods ( thinks this is the problem of you ). Sure that yours problems, bacause Unitpanel.lua can be overriden by a lot of mods.... A mod that enhance display leftbottom information unit is can be the trouble for example.... And if it is, the only solution is to cut/paste my code into the real unitpanel.lua file that be currently used....Civ not merge file ....


Second, units have too many promotions to display in one tooltip. ( never happen to me except when i have made my test with all promotions of units to display :) )
