Thank you for updating this. Myself and two other guys play tob together, so it is not a dead game. This game has more players on any given day than Troy.

predator cz, check custom battle, not campaign first. then deactivate all other mods. if it still doesn't work then youre right. but i bet you're running radious, which will conflict.

So I tried it with the wider formations mod and seems to help with the issue


Not sure why CA always has to have these battles so densely packed it messes with their engine

As much as I hate to say it I dont think this game engine can handle 2x sizes I got a beast pc and I suddenly get frame rate issues with this mod installed

@Grubbs008 Download SaveParser and check if you can edit the unit size of your campaign when you parse it.

That helped me double the unit size of every registered unit ingame --mod or not-- for Rome 2 and Attila, so it should work on Beserkers too.

Either that or the unit file is in the wrong folder?

The 3rd axe men in the axe unit tree vikings/sea vikings/norse, they start as axe men, then shield biters, then beserkers. Your mod, and no other mod effects their unit size. Even Attila's beserker type unit's do not get effected by any double/triple unit size mod. It's just odd that a single unit card is not effected by any unit doubling mod, but all others are. I'm surprised nobody else has said this.

With PFM at db main units tables I tried to change the number of men from 160 to 200 but it's greyed out and won't let me. Any ideas?

you are running other mods that conflict with this one. any mods that affect main_units_tables and/or land_units_tables will be incompatible. please try mod without any others, to make sure it is working properly.

i have probel in game on list of utnit i have 90 horsmen but on battlefield are only half visible 45. Infantry goood 240 on list on map. Where is problem with horseman.

i have tried editing this in my combat changes mod, but to no effect. it seems, at least from what i know, that those values are hardcoded

Can I request a mod that lets us stretch formations wider? The war dogs especially are a bit silly since the widest you can stretch them still makes their formation twice as deep as it is wide.

also, I have to say, that based on everyone having different problems, instead of consistent ones, i can tell that people are running other mods. ive already tested this mod and on its own it runs fine. mods like radius will be incompatible, or almost any other mod that edits land_units_tables or main_units_tables. as i said i will get around to making compatbility versions if they are requested.

teargrants, you must be running another mod that effects land_units_tables. here, the number being effected is num_mounts. instead of telling me that I have an oversight in my mod (which i dont, the numbers are correct in the file), try the mod without any other mods, then if there is still a problem I can look into it, which again, i already did, the numbers are correct.

I've been using this w/ Large unit size (so 240 men per unit) and haven't had any problems w/ the reinforcing army fights I've had so far.

There is a bug w/ the mod though. The number of HORSES for all cav units is not changed from vanilla, even though they have twice as many MEN. What ends up happening is the rider models are doubled up on each other, 2 per horse. You can see this if you look at their spears, you'll see them each holding 2 spears slightly off set. If you tell them to dismount, the correct number of men appears. But if you tell them to mount again, only half of them can mount. The other half that don't have horses just form up in front like infantry and you end up w/ a mixed infantry/cav unit.

I'm HOPING that it's just an oversight and it's possible to double the number of horses too.

giving it some thought, it must be that the unit width is too constrained. believe me I tried to change this, but my edits had no effect. at the moment it would seem that it is hard coded and CA's design decisions are only limiting the ability to mod this game.

the values for unit width are visible but changing them doesnt seem to work.

Just to confirm it just happened again, so does happen alot and it did mean i had to fight with only one army, so for now this mod is pretty unusable.
The starting army size is not that important though so nothing major.

as i said previously, to make this mod so that it is compatible with more mods. that means that I cannot change the startpos or else any mod that does will not be compatible. its safer for me to not edit it for just a unit size mod.

I have no idea how to fix the way armies enter the map. I can look into it to possibly fix it if it is even possible to, but at the moment it is finals weeks, and I wont have the time to be looking at tutorials and/or the tables for hours to figure this out. as I mentioned this kinda thing is probably no editable, and is hard coded. but I will look into it.

Ive found anopther problem, If you attack etc with say 2 armys, your second army doesnt always enter the battlefield as his unit size is so large that they get stuck half way through walking onto the field.
A few of your stater units also are normal size too.

♣1stF/R♣ MARTY if you have a nvidia graphics card, do the following:

right click on desktop and open the nvidia control panel.

go to manage 3d settings, then to program settings, then add thrones of britannia.

set antialiasing - FXAA to on

set antialiasing - mode to enhance the application setting.

set antialiasing - setting to 8x

set antialiasing - transparency to 8x (supersample)

then hit apply.

then go into game settings and turn off antialiasing.

save your settings, and you should get a good boost in your fps.

I chose the 2x mod to see if my 6 year old computer could handle it .... does it with ease :) I also noticed that seiges actually feel like a really hard battle to win if you are the besieger. Damn good fights (The men trying to get through the gate or over a wall do find it tough) :) Once again thank you mate :)
