how do we decorate the inside? Are there any star wars furniture models somewhere for this sort of thing?
Zazaa 5 Aug, 2022 @ 7:10am
how do I download the models?
SteveCowlishaw 6 Mar, 2022 @ 12:03pm
Hey, I don't suppose you have the YT-1300 do you? I was thinking about taking the rooms and adding it to the 2400 map
lonewolf45622 13 Apr, 2021 @ 7:46pm
hey. shot in the dark. would i be able to add you about a possible port or in general some questions?
SteveCowlishaw 14 Mar, 2021 @ 10:53am
Ah, I have a Ryzen 3, hopefully it wont fuck up lol, my only issue with WIndows 7 was that 3DS Max would be really slow and drain a lot of memory, so a lot of memory dumps were needed for maps. I liked Windows 7, I could actually block spotify ads lol
Kliff Edge  [author] 11 Mar, 2021 @ 3:30pm
Yeah, it's a real pain in the ass. I spent several irritating months (September-January) trying everything that was suggested, across various forums. Even when I did get it to work (early on), it would not recognize my licence. Then after my new Ryzen7 processor died (using DEFAULT settings), (defective, still under warranty, they sent a new one), I bought a replacement R9, but Windows for some reason messed up something with my IO settings, and there were features on other devices that weren't being recognized; and so I had to do a "recovery" re-install of Windows 10; and then I could never get 3DS Max to even run, after that.
So I finally created a Windows7 VM, from my SDD from last year.... it runs atleast.

Similar thing happened back in the day, going from Windows 2000 - XP - Vista. Every time a new version of Windows came out 3DS Max would have some stupid issue. Which is why I say, just move to Blender.
SteveCowlishaw 11 Mar, 2021 @ 2:43pm
lol I was a bit too vague on that one, but I don't exactly remember what I did. I transferred my old HDD into a new computer's hot swap drive and reinstalled everything again and when it came to use 3DS I'd have licensing issues, I had no clue what to do and was about to move to blender when I deleted my license file in the software license folder (appdata\local\autodesk) and it seemed to work.

I still might move to blender though, I'm shit at rigging and I hear there's tools over there.
Kliff Edge  [author] 11 Mar, 2021 @ 12:46pm
I already worked around it with a virtual machine. It works, if I absolutely need it, but I'm eventually moving on to Blender.

:calm_creep:
...what da fawk is google?
Ask me if I tried turning it off and on again...oH! $#IT!
MY COMPUTER WAS UNPLUGGED THE WHOLE TIME!
Thanks for the tip man! You really gotta check these things, sometimes, when trouble shooting. It can be the one thing you're not thinking of.
SteveCowlishaw 10 Mar, 2021 @ 1:45pm
Actually, I had the same issue with Windows 10 and 3DS Max too, not sure how I worked around it but I worked around it. I think my issue was solved by searching google for help, and something to do with the licence folder
Kliff Edge  [author] 9 Mar, 2021 @ 2:12pm
ModTheGalaxy(com) had a model exporter script for 3DS MAX for many years (probably since 2009).
It's what I was using for these models, but my Windows 7 PC blew out a transistor, this fall, and I needed buy a whole new Motherboard/System, and I was unfortunately forced to use Windows 10 - Which cannot run the version of 3DS Max that I have (from the time before Autodesk started their "subscription service")

There is also a much better model importer that was made, more recently for Blender.
Which I am attmpting to... slowly (job and IRL stuff)... learn Blender and re-apply what I know to it.

When I started learning 3dsMax; Blender was in it's very early stages, but I wish I would have started using it then...hindsight is a beech.
If anyone is looking into 3d-model making these days - use Blender it's free.
Don't waste your time with 3DS Max unless you absolutely have to (for like a job, or college; unless they all started using Blender, now).
TheGreebleAdict 4 Mar, 2021 @ 8:51am
How have you been exporting SWG models? iv been trying to do this for years! what program are you using?
SteveCowlishaw 18 Jan, 2021 @ 6:42pm
Dude, you're awesome, I miss SWG but I dont think I'll go back to any SWG Emu. This is the next best thing! This was my home for quite some time too!
bernardodesampaio 3 Jan, 2020 @ 4:12pm
hey! how do i download this?
sefem 7 Jan, 2019 @ 10:16am
great stuff. thanks for uploading
MarcPhi 25 Jul, 2018 @ 8:22am
nice ship, but can you add the doors?
Darthdude 9 Jul, 2018 @ 1:15am
nice one bud, thank you!!!
Kliff Edge  [author] 9 Jul, 2018 @ 12:22am
YT-2400_int.mdl has a body group for the cockpit - right click the model and select it from the body groups list.
Darthdude 7 Jul, 2018 @ 12:17pm
there's no cockpit, i see you have one in the pics, i got the interior, the exterior and the chairs but no cockpit
Capt Fuzzy 18 May, 2018 @ 8:32pm
I think it could be ported, if I could just figure out what exactly is missing and where to get it.
I've tried porting this for my own use, but I've not been able to get rid of the big red ERRORs that keep cropping up in it.
According to the description, everything is included in the map download for gmod, but when porting it to SFM, it comes up with stuff missing.
I don't know if the decompile is screwing it up or what, but that's where I'm at with it...
Kliff Edge  [author] 18 May, 2018 @ 8:29pm
Well, maybe the one from SWG, could be ported someday... but don't hold your breath. That one is pretty far down my list, atm.
Capt Fuzzy 18 May, 2018 @ 8:19pm
@Kliff Edge and @Captain Magma - No that one doesn't work right in SFM, it doesn't have HDR enabled and uses some custom stuff, believe me, I've tried to make it work in SFM with no luck so far...
Kliff Edge  [author] 18 May, 2018 @ 8:17pm
@Captain Magma
There's one for GMod. Might simply load up if you copy it over to SFM....

Oda One Piece (real) 18 May, 2018 @ 7:36pm
Can you possibly do a map of the Tantive IV interior?
Capt Fuzzy 16 May, 2018 @ 7:44pm
Ahh, ok.
I kinda thought you'd seen one somewhere else that was available for SFM, my bad.
As far as your port goes, I prefer good quality models over the some of the 'crap' that gets uploaded to the workshop, so believe me when I say, take your time. I'd rather have to wait a while for a high-quality model than get something that was basically ported just for the sake of porting it with no pride taken in it's quality.
Kliff Edge  [author] 16 May, 2018 @ 7:36pm
@Capt Fuzzy
I was talking about the backlog of stuff I have yet to port. It exists (in SWG, unported) but not for SFM, that I'm aware of, right now.
I'll probably get around to it eventually, since some of the textures from this are used in the YT-1300. But it will still take some time, since I prefer things to be in the best possible quality, when I port them over.
Unless there is one that exists from 2015 Battlefront/BFII or something. In which case I'd prefer not to port something that already exists in higher quality.
Capt Fuzzy 16 May, 2018 @ 7:04pm
@Kliff Edge
There is??
Any chance that you have a link to it or know where it is located?
I'd love to have a Falcon with an interior.
Kliff Edge  [author] 16 May, 2018 @ 5:35pm
@Capt Fuzzy
It...could work but the layout is a bit different. There's already an interior for the YT-1300....
Capt Fuzzy 16 May, 2018 @ 5:24pm
I'm wondering if the interior model could be bone merged into a model of the Millenium Falcon...
The two ships are of similar design, so theoretically, the interior should fit a Falcon model as long as they are both the same scale.

Just a thought... :steamhappy:

BckStretHshbrwn76 15 May, 2018 @ 7:18pm
holy shit theres an actual interior
pheenix99 15 May, 2018 @ 6:44pm
Any chance of some TF2 inspired carbonite models? :p:steamhappy:
Kliff Edge  [author] 15 May, 2018 @ 11:02am
I just relised I forgot to add bones to the gun turrets - I'll have a fix for this soon, likely next week, sometime. (busy with work and convention coming up)
While, I'm at it, I might even add the alternate Engines/Boosters, but considering I'm already hitting the texture limit on the chassis, with all the skins, that may end up being a sperate model that you'll have to bonemerge.

Hopefully shouldn't mess up any animations (should only be as simple as loading a new model - then copy/paste the animation to the new model) this won't affect the interior model.
JumpDrive 15 May, 2018 @ 12:42am
I've been waiting so long for a decent Star Wars ship interior.
The Mad Demoknight 14 May, 2018 @ 2:51pm
The fact that this has an interioir is just...magnificent.
episoder 14 May, 2018 @ 2:27pm
iron squadron got a ship. nice base to build a falcon interior too.
