I frankly don't remember and don't have CK2 installed on my new PC, sorry. You should probably be able to figure it out by messing around with these files in Notepad++, if you care to.

Hey man how did you switch the heavy infantry and the spearman model? this is something i wanted in the game for ages since the spearmen look so much better and make more sense

It should be, I haven't tried though.

True ! I just felt like it made them look nicer than the oval ones from the base game. Guess I went for a Komnenian era-esque look here.

didnt used kite shields until like after 10th century and it wasnt even completely til after 11th century
they used the large curved oval shields the same ones from attilla total war but those are even too small to be accurate haha

Well sure. All I'm saying is that I'm fine with the sprites from Paradox's Byzantine unit pack so I'm probably not going to delve into that kind of stuff, at least for the time being.

By late game, I do beleive that Vitkor is referring to the reign of House Palaiologos. Their heavy infantry had curvy helmet crests and feather plumes.

Sementics argument lol.
Robin[FRA]  [author] 22 May, 2018 @ 4:25am
Oh, I know. It just so happens that "Byzantine" is the generic term most people recognize when referring to the medieval Roman Empire. Semantics aren't exactly the point of this mod so I just rolled with it.
Abby La Fay 21 May, 2018 @ 4:00pm
they called them selves Romans, and were the last remnants of the Roman Empire.
Abby La Fay 21 May, 2018 @ 3:52pm
Byzantine was a name used by some german guy many years after the fall of the Eastern Roman empire, so it is inaccurate to call them Byzantines. :bbtcat::bbtcat:
Robin[FRA]  [author] 21 May, 2018 @ 5:38am
@Mek Shokgitz : Roman, Byzantine, it's all the same to me :d

@VityViktor : Possibly, but I rather like the basic Byzantine unit pack so I'm not really planning on doing that right now.
VityViktor 20 May, 2018 @ 2:18pm
Nice! Could you make something like that for Late Game?
