A very enjoyable run. I really liked the time of day and weather chosen. Excellent AI traffic. The timetable was a little tight in places, but definately attainable. I just had one problem on my first attempt. I am notorious for "tabbing ahead." I was approaching Clapham Junction, and I was coming up to a red light. I hit the tab key, and received approval to proceed. Unfortunately, there was a train coming towards me, and I changed tracks and sideswiped it, and we both derailed. Other than that, highly recommend. Well done!

nice scenario thanks!

well john, about the cab view: I think it has something to do with your screen resolution, the larger your computer screen is the more you can see. You could try adjusting the screen view by starting your game and then go to main menu>options>graphics, there you should see the screen resolution you have right now (1024*768, or whatever resolution you have), just try a other one, to see what it does. (oh and if you didn't know jet, if you don't necissarily want to play in cab view, you can also press F4 when you play a scenario, to see and control your throttle level, break, reverser, etc., in case you didn't know that yet. Hope this helps!

Hi Marijn - thank you very much for having the patience to guide a 60 year old grandfather through the points and sidings of the Steam Workshop. Everything works perfectly and I'm looking forward to trying out your routes later. First impressions are excellent - very authentic and realistic. I do have one further question, related to the Cab View on TS2013. I've zoomed back as far as it will go, but feel as though I'm driving with my nose up against the windscreen. Is there any way of adjusting the camera position so that more of the console is in view (AWS, Power Controllers, Gauges, Switches etc). I've read through the manual, but can't find any related information. If you can find the time, would appreciate any advice you may have. In the meantime, thanks very much once again. John

good luck John, I really don't know any more options (you could try again verify the local game files). I'm glad my other scenario's do work properly!

Hi Marijn - me again - sorry to be a pain, but I've just downloaded another of your excellent routes, the Brighton-Victoria stopping train (in the snow) and it works perfectly, so tomorrow (it's getting late now) I'm going to delete and re-download your Vic-Hay Heath route to try again. Never Give Up!! Cheers, John

Hi Marijn, thanks for your instructions, which I have carried out and after verifying the game file cache TS re-downloaded some missing files. I can now access your route in the workshop, but the opening view is of a car park about 100m to the right of Hayward's Heath station. There is a Class 377 at the station. All I can do is move the camera from left to right and back and forwards. I cannot access the cab - have tried every key on the keyboard. This is all becoming very frustrating, but I'm not going to give up. I've re-launched the game, re-started the PC, but to no effect. I must be missing a trick or two.............!! John

it's in steam, when you startup steam and you go to: games>installed, you see trainsim2013 listed, right click on it, and then click on properties, then go to the tab "Local Game Files"(third tab), then click on the last one "verify local game files", make sure you don't run anything else, and, well, this could take quiet some time, depending on how much you own from trainsim, then just wait for it to completed. It could be that it downloads some missing stuff and reinstalles some stuff after completing, it will say when you can play the game again, and then my scenario should work, if it still doesn't work, then maybe contact the makers of this game, or just try one of my other scenario's.
Crepello 24 Jul, 2013 @ 1:26pm
Thanks Marijn - yes, I've tried two other routes from other authors with no success. How do you "verify the local game files". Haven't come accross that yet. Please advise !
marijn  [author] 24 Jul, 2013 @ 1:19pm
Otherwise you could try to (after you subscribed to my scenario), "verify the local game files" (if you don't know how to do this, just ask me!), and well, thats all you could try, of what I know. An other question: did you try to play scenario's from other people and/or did you try to play an other scenario from me and did that scenario work, or also not??? Anyway, I hope this all helps, if not, just place another comment here! (read previous/next answer)!
marijn  [author] 24 Jul, 2013 @ 1:19pm
well, my scenario should show up there if you have subscribed it. very strange... No you don't need to put any money in your wallet, ALL scenario's in the workshop are free. If you don't have the class 455 then my scenario should still show up in: main menu>workshop>play>, even if you don't have the class 455. If you don't have the class 455 it should also show a red cross at the right side under: "needs DLC", and then the class 455 should have a red cross. But well, first of all my scenario should show up there... you could try to unsubscribe and then just restart the game, then subscribe again, restart the game again and then see if it shows up. (read next/previous answer!)

Thanks for your response, Marijn, but I'm afraid it doesn't show up there - the only button that's available is the "Get Scenarios", the others "View", "Remove" are light grey Do I have to put some money into the "wallet" on my accounts file before this can be downloaded? Do I have to download the Class 455 first? I'm determined to get to the answer to this as your route looks excellent. Appreciate your help. John
marijn  [author] 23 Jul, 2013 @ 11:34pm
if you have subscribed it, it should automatically download, then you just start trainsimulator (if you haven't already), or restart trainsim, and in the main menu go to: workshop>play>and then it should show up there.
Crepello 23 Jul, 2013 @ 2:02pm
have subscribed to download this route, all the boxes are ticked, so how do I go about downloading it? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers, John

This is a superb scenario! A great long run, which is tightly timed (but not impossibly timed). Keeps you on your toes, and no stopping to pick daisies!! Thanks for all the work in creating it. Please keep it up!
